Experience:
Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA/MBA), Development Studies, Economics, Marketing, International Development, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum 4-5 years of progressive professional experience in business growth, market linkages, private sector engagement, or micro-enterprise development, preferably within INGOs or development initiatives.
Professional training or advanced learning in enterprise development, market systems, business sustainability, financial management, entrepreneurship, partnership development or related areas.
Demonstrated track record in managing community-based enterprise structures, women’s economic empowerment, or self-sustaining group business models.
Direct experience in designing buyer-seller platforms, conducting trade fairs, facilitating trade likens
Experience working in the RMG ecosystem, WFS, or industrial settings in Bangladesh.
Experience with international donor-funded projects.
Experience in strategic partnerships with financial institutions, private sector, government, and business service providers.
Strong experience in business mentoring, market linkages, digital marketing, and enterprise growth.
Experience strengthening the capacity of women’s groups, community committees, or enterprise management.

Scope of Work:
Project Background: Oporajita: Collective Impact for Just Transition for Women in the RMG Ecosystem builds on the achievements of its previous phase, which was completed in May 2026. The current phase focuses on establishing women-led enterprises and strengthening and sustaining Women Cafés in Bhaluka (Mymensingh), Savar (Dhaka), Narayanganj, and Gazipur. The project aims to establish market-driven women’s enterprises and self-sustaining, women-led Women Cafés as financially viable business and support hubs. These platforms will provide women garment workers and former workers with opportunities for entrepreneurship, market linkages, peer learning, psychosocial well-being, leadership development, and community engagement.
The Senior Business Growth & Sustainability Officer will lead technical support for the growth and sustainability of four Women Cafés and will be based at the Gazipur Field Office. The role will provide technical guidance on enterprise development, market linkages, financial sustainability, governance, and business growth, while facilitating partnerships with financial institutions, private sector actors, government agencies, and business service providers. The Officer will support the Café Management Committees to progressively take ownership of the cafés’ governance, financial, and operational management, enabling them to become self-sustaining beyond the project period. The position will provide direct technical guidance to the Market Development Officer and coordinate closely with the Project Manager, Technical Coordinator-MEAL, Leadership Development Facilitator, and Psychosocial Counsellor.
II. Responsibilities and Tasks: % of TimeResponsibility # 1: Strategic Business Growth & Sustainability - 30%
Lead the Women Café sustainability pathway to strengthen financial resilience, governance, and enterprise growth.
Develop diversified revenue models and strengthen savings, membership contributions, and other income sources.
Provide technical guidance on business growth, product development, pricing, packaging, and digital marketing.
Build market linkages and strategic partnerships with buyers, private sector, and SME support agencies.
Strengthen Café Management Committees in governance, financial management, risk management, and transparent bookkeeping.
Facilitate market days, buyer–seller meetings, and trade fairs to expand market access and Café visibility.
Monitor enterprise growth, profitability, and progress toward financial sustainability.
Responsibility # 2: Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Linkages - 20%
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with banks, microfinance organizations, SME promotion agencies, and private sector buyers.
Facilitate women entrepreneurs’ access to formal financial services and relevant business development opportunities.
Link women entrepreneurs with government entrepreneurship programmes and business support services.
Strengthen relationships with private sector buyers and market actors to expand business and market opportunities.
Oversee the planning and implementation of Women Café Market Days and Trade Fairs in collaboration with relevant partners.
Monitor and follow up on partnership outcomes and collaborative activities to ensure sustainable linkages beyond the project period.
Responsibility # 3: Women Café Sustainability, Savings & Business Model - 20%
Lead the Women Café sustainability pathway and business model.
Strengthen member contributions, savings, internal funds, and local revenue generation.
Strengthen the Café’s value proposition, financial management, and community ownership.
Support the gradual reduction of project support and transition to self-sustainability.
Monitor financial performance, revenue generation, and operational cost coverage across the four Women Cafés.
Responsibility # 4: Institutional Governance & Financial Sustainability - 15%
Strengthen CMC capacity in governance, leadership, financial management, and safeguarding.
Establish by-laws, joint bank accounts, bookkeeping, and internal financial controls.
Implement membership, savings, rental, and service-based revenue mechanisms to build Café operational funds.
Support business risk assessment and mitigation for independent and sustainable Café management.
Responsibility # 5: Project Coordination, Monitoring & Learning (MEL) - 10%
Collaborate with the Technical Coordinator-M&E and Project Manager to track key performance indicators (KPIs), deliver narrative reports, and execute monitoring assessments across all 4 sustainability dimensions.
Coordinate field activities with external stakeholders, community leaders, and local government authorities to foster a supportive local ecosystem and community allyship.
Facilitate quarterly learning-sharing sessions and support the documentation of the Self-Sustaining Women Café Sustainability Model publication.
Prepare and submit timely monthly report, field reports, success story and relevant documentation to support project reporting, documentation and decision-making.
Support cross-thematic project initiatives, emergency responses, or administrative activities as required by the Project Manager.
Ensure all targeted data are submitted to MIS system accurately, timely, and approved.
