Community Institution Building & Youth Mobilization:

  • Facilitate the formation and operationalization of union-level EbA Action Groups (EAGs) consisting of 30 members per union, ensuring diversity in age, gender, and occupation.

  • Coordinate quarterly EAG meetings, capacity-building sessions on EbA, and support participatory ecosystem monitoring using Community EbA Scorecards.

  • Mobilize and coordinate youth volunteers (aged 18–25) for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and basic rescue training in partnership with the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD).

Climate-Resilient & Ecosystem-Based Livelihoods Promotion:

  • Supervise the rollout and adoption of integrated household-level EbA livelihood models, including organic sack gardening (30 persons/union), 2FVD models (Fish-Fruit-Vegetable-Duck), and vermicomposting.

  • Facilitate training on bio-pesticide preparation, short-duration crop diversification (100 persons/union), and support agricultural demonstration farmers with DAE coordination.

  • Promote low-carbon, resource-efficient technologies such as zero-energy cooling units, bio-digesters, and household biochar production units.

  • Engage local entrepreneurs (15 per union) through business skills training and coordinate union-level market linkage match-making events.

  • Lead community-led ecosystem restoration efforts, overseeing large-scale afforestation initiatives (7,000 saplings per union with protective fencing).

Local Disaster Risk Governance & Planning:

  • Work closely with Union Disaster Management Committees (UDMCs) to facilitate participatory Community Risk Assessments (CRA) and the formulation/implementation of Risk Reduction Action Plans (RRAPs).

  • Facilitate regular UDMC review meetings (twice a year per union), seasonal action planning, and early warning dissemination (BAMIS, SMS) across communities.

  • Coordinate local reconstruction/rehabilitation efforts for affected cyclone shelters in collaboration with local government bodies.

  • Support sub-national conferences and multi-stakeholder dialogue events to share learnings on local EbA models.

Reporting & Accountability:
