∎ Contract length: Up to April 30, 2020 (with possibility of extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Management & Implementation:
∎ Develop a detailed advocacy plan for implementation of the project
∎ Ensure that all advocacy related project activities are implemented in a timely manner and with due quality
∎ In collaboration with the Advocacy advisor, organize lobbying events at Dhaka and Cox's Bazar level related to the project
∎ Ensure that all relevant partners are involved in implementation
∎ Ensure the fulfillment of all donor-requirements in line with the project
∎ Develop advocacy products in the form of policy briefs; communication materials etc.
∎ Coordination:
∎ Ensure the involvement and participation of all consortium members in advocacy initiatives
∎ Work with other consortium partners to develop a detailed advocacy plan
∎ Organize periodic meetings with all consortium members including learning events
∎ Ensure that community members are fully participating in all activities and as appropriate in decisions applicable to the project
∎ Make sure to provide all internal and external partners updates about the project progress
∎ Establish and build relationship with various actors
∎ Communicate and coordinate with relevant stakeholders which are critical for the successful delivery of the advocacy strategy
∎ Finance Management for the Project:
∎ Overseeing project budgets related to advocacy by ensuring that spending is according to budget
∎ Documentation, Learning & Evidence:
∎ Contribute to writing, publishing and disseminating advocacy briefs especially related to the project
∎ Ensure that all advocacy results are well documented and shared appropriately
∎ Promote a culture of learning e.g. through information sharing
∎ Participate in Preparing Proposals for Fundraising Projects
∎ Reporting & Accountability:
∎ Ensure that all reports (monthly and quarterly) are prepared on time and as per donor requirements
∎ Monitoring & Evaluation:
∎ Work with the Monitoring and Evaluation team to ensure that all the indicators are measured and evidence available
∎ Ensure that all implementation is according to the project logical framework
∎ Adhere to all Organizational Policies, Principles and Values during Project Implementation
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 4 years of experience working in the development/humanitarian/relevant fields and working in partnerships
∎ Knowledge of UN, DFID, UNOPS etc. proposal and reporting requirements
∎ Excellent research and public-speaking skills
∎ Budgetary management skills
∎ Willing to work in a dynamic environment
∎ Ability to work as part of a wide and diverse team with people from different cultural backgrounds
∎ Experience in lobbying and influencing government and other stakeholders
∎ Knowledge of community engagement, social accountability, governance
∎ Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
∎ Demonstrated successful experience working with partners
∎ Required to be able to function comfortably in a complex work environment, under pressure whilst prioritizing multiple tasks
∎ Demonstrable understanding of project planning and project cycle management
∎ Ability to build good working relationships and work effectively with program, field staff and HQ virtually
∎ Advanced knowledge in computer applications especially word processing and Excel
∎ Strong communication skills in both written and verbal English.
