Job Context:
∎ Duration: One year
∎ Reporting to: Development and Implementation Team Lead
∎ Objective: The Security Specialist will be tasked with safeguarding information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems. The role is pivotal in protecting systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources. The candidate will recognize problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations and will implement security improvements by assessing the current situation, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program.
∎ Protect systems by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources, and by directing system control development and access management, monitoring, control, and evaluation.
∎ Identify abnormalities; report violations; and design and conduct security audits to ensure operational security.
∎ Safeguard information by creating and ensuring compliance with disaster recovery, data redundancy, and backup procedures.
∎ Implement security improvements by assessing the current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements and testing infrastructures.
∎ Advise senior management by identifying critical security issues and recommending risk-reduction solutions.
∎ Maintain quality service by following organization standards and contributing to team meetings and professional publications.
∎ Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and participating in professional organizations.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing enterprise-level security environments, with at least 5 years dedicated to managing security for web-based solutions.
∎ Relevant professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, or others.
∎ Prior experience in the Government or Public Sector security management is highly desirable.
∎ At least two years of experience as an international (Expat).
∎ In-depth understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
∎ Familiarity with web-related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service-Oriented Architectures) and network/web related protocols.
∎ Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
∎ Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
∎ Must be proactive, with a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
∎ Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with a variety of stakeholders and senior leadership.
