Job Context:
∎ Objective: The Configuration & Documentation Expert will be responsible for managing infrastructure configurations, overseeing security systems for a large enterprise, and ensuring the documentation and version control of software releases. This role is crucial in maintaining operational integrity and security within a complex technical environment.
∎ Duration: one year
∎ Reporting to: Development & Implementation team lead
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement configuration management policies and procedures to ensure a stable and secure technical environment.
∎ Oversee and maintain infrastructure configurations, including servers, databases, and network devices, ensuring optimal performance and security.
∎ Manage software versioning and release processes, including the deployment of patches, updates, and new releases.
∎ Maintain accurate and current technical documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and service records in line with ITIL standards.
∎ Work closely with technical teams to document changes and updates in system configurations and software.
∎ Facilitate effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and technical personnel through clear and concise documentation and reports.
∎ Lead the development of standard operating procedures and ensure that all documentation meets professional and technical standards.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ A minimum of 12 years of experience in managing infrastructure configurations and security systems, preferably within Government or Public Sector environments.
∎ At least 10 years of hands-on experience in a complex technical environment consisting of servers, controllers, databases, internet security, and related hardware and systems software.
∎ Over 10 years of experience in managing software versions, releases, and maintaining up-to-date technical documentation.
∎ In-depth knowledge of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) operations procedures and best practices.
∎ Exceptional communication and report writing skills, with proficiency in the English language.
∎ At least two years of experience as an international (Expat)
∎ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
∎ Proven ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
∎ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
∎ Proficiency in configuration management tools and software documentation platforms.
∎ A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues related to configurations and documentation.
∎ Experience in training and mentoring staff on configuration management best practices.
