Responsibilities & Context:
Context
The Security Operation Executive is responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents within the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role supports continuous security operations to protect networks, systems, and data from cyber threats.
Security Monitoring & Incident Response
Monitor security tools such as SIEM, Firewall, IDS/IPS, EDR, Antivirus, and DLP systems.
Analyze security alerts and investigate potential threats.
Respond to security incidents and escalate critical issues to senior security team.
Maintain incident logs and prepare incident reports.
Threat & Vulnerability Management
Perform regular vulnerability scans and track remediation activities.
Assist in penetration testing and risk assessments.
Monitor patch management status to reduce security risks.
Access & System Security
Support user access management (IAM).
Monitor privileged access activities.
Ensure compliance with password and authentication policies.
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.
Assist in ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, or other compliance audits.
Maintain proper documentation of security events and actions taken.
Infrastructure Support
Support security configuration for servers, network devices, and cloud platforms.
Monitor email security, endpoint protection, and web filtering systems.
