Job Context:
∎ Implementation of Community Approaches to Total Sanitation (CATS-II)/ASWA-II
∎ based at Upazilla level under Khulna division
∎ The duration of the proposed contract is up to February 16, 2022.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsibility # 1: Provide support to establish Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) corner in schools.
∎ The School Facilitators, along with SMC, student council/cabinet, will develop a joint action plan for ensuring hygiene and sanitation facilities at school.
∎ S/he will facilitate to establish MHM corner in each selected school
∎ Assist one female teacher to look after the MHM corner and menstrual matters at school
∎ Facilitate SMC to make available sanitary napkins at schools
∎ Facilitate to establish 'satota shop' at school premises.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Understanding of development issues and rural context,
∎ Knowledge on menstrual and personal hygiene will be treated as an added value
∎ Strong facilitation and communication skills
∎ Experience in working with SMCs and in school context
∎ Experience on PRA tools Analysis and CLTS approach is an asset
∎ Good understanding of rural communities, their dynamics, power structure and development issues
∎ Ensure and Promote GEDI and be GEDI sensitive, creating an enabling environment where diversity can flourish and all staff and stakeholders experience inclusion and appreciation.
