Position Objective:

Maintain, configure and provide technical administration and support for the company’s SAP landscapes (S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Solution Manager), ensuring stability, security, performance and availability. Support both ongoing operations and system-related projects (updates, system copies, security note implementation).

Key Responsibilities:

• SAP user administration: create/maintain user accounts, roles and authorizations and enforce RBAC/security policies.

• Batch job management: monitor, schedule and optimize background jobs (SM37/SM36); troubleshoot job failures and optimize runtime.

• Printer & spool administration: configure devices, manage output devices/spool, and troubleshoot print issues.

• RFC & interface management: configure and maintain RFCs and monitor connectivity between SAP and external systems.

• Incident & problem resolution: diagnose system issues, analyze logs (ST22, SM21, Dev traces), and coordinate fixes.

• System performance & capacity: monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, propose tuning (DB, application server, OS).

• Security & patches: review and implement SAP Security Notes and apply kernel/patch updates following change control.

• Backup & recovery: design and execute backup strategies, test recovery procedures and perform system restores when needed.

• System/client copy & transport: support system/client copy, landscape refreshes and SAP transport management.

• System updates & upgrades: prepare for and execute SAP Basis updates/upgrades and coordinate with functional & project teams.

• Vendor coordination: work closely with external infrastructure partner (e.g., NTT) and internal infra teams for capacity, networking and DR tasks.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or equivalent technical degree.

• Minimum 3 years’ hands-on SAP Basis experience; demonstrable experience with S/4HANA landscapes strongly preferred.

• Hands-on experience with SAP tools: SAP GUI, SAP HANA Studio, SAP NetWeaver Administrator, Solution Manager.

• OS experience: Linux (RHEL/SuSE) and/or Windows server administration.

• Database experience: SAP HANA essential; familiarity with Oracle and MS SQL is an advantage.

• Proven experience with backups, system/client copies, transport management and patching.

• Experience coordinating with external infra vendors and cloud/on-prem infrastructure teams.

Preferred / Nice-to-have:

• SAP Basis or SAP HANA certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate — SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver).

• Experience in S/4HANA migrations, system conversions, or performance tuning at scale.

• Familiarity with automation (shell scripting, Python, or configuration management tools).

• Experience in enterprise change control and ITIL-aligned operations.
