Sales & Marketing Agent (Remote Contract)
We are an AI/ML deep tech startup building category-defining products. We are seeking a strategic, scrappy Sales & Marketing Agent to build our sales engine, own the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, and drive revenue. Working directly with the General Manager, you will translate cutting-edge capabilities into market narratives and ensure products directly answer market demand.
Duties & Responsibilities
Define and execute the GTM strategy, identifying the optimal "wedge" to capture target audience.
Translate architectural and engineering features into clear, marketable positioning, designs and messaging.
Develop, test, and refine monetization and pricing models to maximize adoption and long-term revenue.
Drive market research to identify gaps, evaluate product-market fit, and uncover opportunities for existing and new products.
Create marketing materials—such as pitch decks, case studies, and one-pagers—that translate engineering and architectural concepts into buyer narratives.
Determine and utilize the most effective customer acquisition channels.
Distill user feedback, interviews, and market friction into precise, actionable product requirements, ensuring the build is exactly what the market needs.
Build and manage the entire sales pipeline, leading high-volume outbound calls, lead generation, and closing deals.
Design, package, and close AI consultancy engagements, successfully monetizing core technical expertise.
Navigate sales cycles, structuring agreements and negotiating contracts.
Handle technical and business objections from buyers to keep deals moving forward.
Identify, pitch, and secure strategic alliances and partnerships.
Lead customer discovery to extract core pain points and market friction.
Ensure the technical roadmap aligns with market viability and revenue.
Act as the "translation layer" between the market and the engineering team, turning feedback into prioritized requirements.
Collaborate with the technical founder to prioritize product development and roadmap based on impact and demand.
Deep fluency in target industry, with ability to network warm contacts, beta testers, and early adopters.
Proven track record as a closer, capable of managing sales cycles and driving revenue.
Comfortable writing your own copy, sending cold outreach, and handling support.
A high tolerance for rejection and the grit required to push past early market skepticism and secure early wins.
