Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in Environmental sciences, Geography, Development Studies, Urban and Regional Planning and Anthropology from reputed universities

Job Context:
∎ Bangladesh Resource Center for Indigenous Knowledge (BARCIK) is a non-governmental non-profitable development organization. A group of development practitioners, researchers and social workers established BARCIK in 1997. BARCIK has been working in the fields of environment, biodiversity conservation, climate change and food security with utmost commitment and purpose since its inception. BARCIK is looking for 4 well-qualified candidates to be recruited immediately for the post of Research Assistant to provide support in the research on green energy in urban areas.
∎ Job Nature: Full-time (Fixed term for 5 months.)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Contribute to data collection tool development and field data collection using online platform e.g. KOBO;
∎ Field visit as per plan developed by supervisor, interviewing respondents, prepare case studies;
∎ Communicate with relevant authorities and community members to conduct survey and qualitative interview;
∎ Facilitate Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Key Informant Interview (KII);
∎ Ensure quality assurance during data collection;
∎ Assist to organize and documentation of workshops, seminars and other meetings;
∎ Work with supervisor as necessary in terms of preparing study documents.
∎ The applicants should have computer skill on MS word, Excel, Power point and internet applications.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 30 years
∎ Experienced on designing and collecting data using KOBO toolbox. The Research Assistants shall work mostly in the field areas. Therefore, they must have personal smart phone and laptop to use during this assignment.

Salary: Tk. 25000 (Monthly)
