∎ Age at least 27 years
∎ Strong knowledge of poultry & dairy disease management, production systems, and biosecurity principles.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Train farm managers and employees on poultry & dairy health, biosecurity, animal handling, and food safety practices.
∎ Participate in research projects aimed at improving poultry & dairy health and production efficiency.
∎ Develop and monitor flock health programs, including vaccination, biosecurity, and disease prevention protocols.
∎ Conduct routine farm visits to evaluate bird health, environmental conditions, and flock performance.
∎ Diagnose and manage infectious and non-infectious diseases through clinical evaluation, diagnostics, and laboratory testing.
∎ Provide guidance on medication usage, withdrawal times, and antimicrobial stewardship.
∎ Collaborate with live production teams to optimize flock performance and reduce mortality and morbidity.
∎ Ensure compliance with USDA, FDA, and company animal welfare standards.
∎ Maintain detailed health records and prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
∎ Act as a liaison with external veterinarians, laboratories, regulatory agencies, and industry partners.
