Experience:

Willingness to travel frequently for on-site inspections.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with traders effectively.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure, especially in volatile market conditions.
Familiarity with local grain markets
Job Context:
Nobayon Traders Limited (a concern of Akij Resource Ltd.) is looking for QC Officer who will be responsible for ensuring the quality of grains procured through spot purchases from local markets or vendors. This includes inspecting, sampling, grading, and documenting the quality of the grains in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site quality inspection of grains (e.g., maize, mustards, red chili, wheat, rice, pulses, etc.) during spot purchases.
Collect and analyze grain samples for moisture, foreign matter, broken grains, infestation, and other quality parameters.
Accept or reject lots based on quality standards and company specifications.
Ensure adherence to company-specified quality standards and reject substandard consignments.
Maintain accurate and complete documentation of inspection results and quality reports.
Liaise with local vendors, suppliers, and warehouse personnel regarding quality issues and resolutions.
Monitor grain storage and transportation conditions to prevent spoilage or quality deterioration.
Stay updated with regulatory and safety guidelines for food commodities.
Support internal and external audits related to quality and compliance.
