Job Context:
∎ The Signpost Senior Officer creates and oversees editorial procedures and standards across Signpost, Bangladesh offline platform and face-to-face information hubs. S/he is responsible for creating and leading the implementation of a user-focused content strategy that is informed by protection principles and digital content and Communication with Communities best practice. S/he leads a team comprised of an moderators

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Establish clear editorial guidelines and standards and ensure staff are trained in and able to use them.
∎ Create, tweak and maintain editorial and Communication with Communities (CwC) SOPs to ensure the project continuously shares accurate, timely and relevant information across its channels.
∎ Vet and edit all sensitive content for adherence to editorial standards.
∎ Provide input on, and draft language for, proposals and reports related to Signpost, Bangladesh.
∎ Develop and manage relationships with third-party content providers, including IRC Bangladesh editorial partner. Ensure third-party content receives appropriate technical review.
∎ Maintain ongoing communication with Signpost Product Manager on site strategy, features, and issues.
∎ Maintain knowledge of, and ensure staff is trained on, editorial team tools including content management systems (Contentful and custom CMS, Google tools), social media tools (Facebook, Facebook Ad Manager, Page Manager and Instagram) and project management tools (Trello, Transifex and Slack) a
∎ Maintain and develop deep knowledge of current digital and CwC content best practice and share knowledge with editorial team.
∎ Maintain working knowledge of key issues and events in relevant humanitarian contexts.

∎ Continuously assess staffing needs and propose changes or develop new editorial roles as needed.
∎ Train new staff members on editorial guidelines and standards.
∎ Maintain close working relationship with other technical staff such as
∎ Coach, train, supervise and mentor direct-report staff, including communicating clear expectations, setting quarterly performance objectives, providing regular and timely positive and constructive performance feedback, and providing documented semi-annual performance reviews.
∎ Hold high-quality meetings with each direct report on a regular and predictable basis, at least bi-weekly.
∎ Provide a measurable development plan including on-the-job learning with the aim of strengthening technical capacity, exchanging knowledge within the team and providing guidance on career paths.
∎ Promote and monitor staff care, well-being and self-care; approve and manage all time, attendance and leave requests to ensure adequate departmental coverage.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Previous professional experience managing social media marketing campaigns in a media outlet, public relations firm, advertising agency or related.

Salary: Tk. 61800 (Monthly)
