Job Context:
∎ The Project Officer will play a vital role in the implementation of the USAID`s Bangladesh Integrated Youth Activity (BIYA) Project, led by UCEP Bangladesh. The officer will be responsible for managing various aspects of the project, including planning, coordination, monitoring, and reporting. The officer will develop and execute a detailed project plan, monitor project progress, evaluate its effectiveness, and take corrective actions as needed. The role involves tracking key performance indicators, identifying risks and issues, and ensuring the project`s successful execution within the allocated resources and timelines.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Planning and Coordination:
∎ Develop a comprehensive project plan, including objectives, scope, timelines, and resource requirements, in alignment with the BIYA project's goals and objectives.
∎ Coordinate with project stakeholders, including youth-led and youth-serving organizations, to ensure a clear understanding of project deliverables, roles, and responsibilities.
∎ Establish and maintain effective communication channels among project team members, ensuring smooth coordination and collaboration.
∎ Project Implementation and Monitoring:
∎ Oversee project activities to ensure timely execution and adherence to established plans and milestones.
∎ Monitor project progress and track key performance indicators, evaluating the effectiveness of project interventions.
∎ Identify risks and issues that may impact project implementation, and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
∎ Collaborate with project team members to address challenges and ensure the smooth flow of project activities.
∎ Reporting and Documentation:
∎ Prepare regular progress reports, including project updates, key achievements, challenges, and lessons learned, for internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Ensure accurate and timely documentation of project activities, outputs, and outcomes.
∎ Maintain project records, including meeting minutes, financial documentation, and relevant project-related information.
∎ Stakeholder Engagement:
∎ Engage with youth-led and youth-serving organizations, local partners, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and ensure their active involvement in project activities.
∎ Facilitate regular communication and knowledge sharing with stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and enhance project outcomes.
∎ Budget and Resource Management:
∎ Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring effective utilization of allocated funds.
∎ Track project expenses and resources, ensuring compliance with USAID regulations and project guidelines.
∎ Coordinate with finance and procurement teams to ensure timely procurement of project-related goods and services.
∎ Evaluation and Learning:
∎ Support project evaluation activities, including data collection and analysis, to assess the impact and effectiveness of project interventions.
∎ Contribute to knowledge management efforts by documenting and sharing best practices, success stories, and lessons learned.
∎ Support the UCEP program to carry out the project output with collaboration with other components.
∎ Other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 40 years
∎ At least 04 (four) years of professional experience in the field of facilitation of training sessions with minimum 01 (one) year of progressive experience of dealing with private sector organizations acquired in reputed local NGOs, INGOs, Banks, Private Sectors, and relevant organizations.
∎ Working experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs or projects will be an added advantage.
∎ Outstanding knowledge of Bangladesh's corporate world and its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
∎ Good understanding of the functions of government and International Non-Governmental Organizations.
∎ Experience in supporting the implementation of gender and social dimension intervention and gender mainstreaming in projects is a plus .
∎ Ability to develop module for EDT, soft skills etc. ToT on EDT from any recognized certification authority will get preference
∎ Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure.
∎ Age limit for the applicant would be 40 years. Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications.
