Education:

Job Purpose

The Project Officer-Technical Support will support the Hub in Charge and Technical Trainers in delivering day-to-day technical services at the Green Innovation Hub, including light engineering, electrical repairs, solar PV maintenance, and consumer electronics servicing. This position assists with hands-on service delivery, tool and stock upkeep, and supports refugee youth and micro-entrepreneurs using the Hub's technical service center and retail outlet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering technical services at the Hub, including light engineering, electrical repairs, solar PV system maintenance, and consumer electronics service.

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Hub's technical service center and retail outlet.

  • Assist Technical Trainers and the Hub in Charge in facilitating practical skills training sessions for refugee youth and micro-entrepreneurs.

  • Support proper use, handling, and routine maintenance of shared high-specification tools and equipment at the Hub.

  • Assist with stock management, product display, and quality checks for items sold through the Hub's retail outlet.

  • Provide first-line troubleshooting support to Hub clients and customers, escalating complex technical issues to Technical Trainers/Hub In Charge.

  • Support circular-economy activities, including repair of used items, e-waste segregation, and responsible disposal.

  • Ensure proper documentation and record keeping of service requests, repairs, sales, and training participants' information.

  • Support the Hub In Charge in coordinating volunteers and day-to-day task allocation at the Hub.

  • Performing Community Feedback and Response Mechanism functions.

  • Provide safeguarding, PSEA, and CFRM awareness sessions weekly to the participants.

  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with communities and other stakeholders

Safeguarding

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment

  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
