∎ Educational level required: Master's degree from any authorized university. Educational qualification will be relaxed for the candidates who have long experiences in food security and livelihood project related works.
∎ Master's degree in Agricultural Science will be an added advantage.

Job Context:
∎ The Project Officer is responsible for providing operational support to BLFM Project to improve and secure the food and nutrition and to ensure a better livelihood for the targeted participants.
∎ To coordinate and managing of resources, to implement of food security livelihood activities, including supervising of field organizers, overseeing project implementation and management, and create linkage with relevant government departments and likeminded organizations.
∎ To conduct and coordinate of needs assessments, project design, technical assistance, linkage with different stakeholders and preparing of monthly and quarterly progress report, evaluation and monitoring, weekly planning and reporting to donors.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure coordination of food security and livelihoods activities for BLFM project and maintain linkage with relevant government department and likeminded organizations.
∎ Ensure that project activities and outputs are implemented in a timely manner.
∎ Providing technical assistance and supervising of Field Organizers as well as carrying out staff performance.
∎ Ensure high quality reports are submitted in a timely manner and work closely with the project coordinator and focal person to ensure that reports meet donor requirements.
∎ Responsible for monitoring the impact of the project, support decision making and promote learning through documentation of best practices and follow up of necessary adjustment (Change management).
∎ Coordinate the BLFM Project activities according to PUMDO strategy, as well as based on proposals, budgets, and plans.
∎ Ensure adherence to PUMDO policies and donor requirements.
∎ Involve and inform communities and community leaders regarding project activities.
∎ Ensure budget management with required financial reporting to PUMDO and project's donor.
∎ Prepare periodic progress reports and other documents as required by PUMDO and donor.
∎ Confirm supervision and training for the BLFM project staffs on efficient planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
∎ Ensure the proper implementation of the project according to the operational plan and M&E Plan.
∎ Represent PUMDO to FSL Sector and Cluster meetings at various levels as assigned (local or national).
∎ Conduct project team coordination meeting on weekly and monthly basis and prepare reports as required by the project coordinator.
∎
∎ Make plan to ensure targeted project activities with the team such as field assessments, market price monitoring, and distribution of livelihood inputs (agricultural seeds & tools), etc.
∎ Implement training for food production and development for livelihoods.
∎ Create linkage with likeminded local organizations and projects.
∎ Assist the project manager to identify of new projects and new areas of intervention.
∎ Carry out any additional study or task assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Technical training qualifications in the area of agriculture, fisheries, pest control, food security, livelihood, /sustainable agriculture/, and/or other related fields.
∎ Minimum of 5 years' relevant working experience with at least 6 years with a humanitarian program.
∎ Prior experience in a supervisory position, with problem solving and decision-making skills.
∎ Experience working with marginalized communities e.g. indigenous communities on development matters, advocacy and governance, gender mainstreaming and children rights.
∎ Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Fluency in local language will be added advantage.
∎ Experience and skills in community mobilization, coordination and networking.
∎ Having demonstrated organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
∎ Organized, efficient, and able to meet the required timeline.
∎ Proficiency in using computer software e. g MS Windows, MS office programs and internet.
∎ Ability to work under pressure in unstable security and remote environment is an asset.
∎ Understands and is committed to PUMDO's vision, mission, and core values.
∎ Work experiences for 5 years or more in FSL works will get priority in the recruitment process.
∎ Previous experience in the International Donor funded projects will be considered positively.
∎ Valid motorcycle driving license will be an added advantage.

∎ Working Environment/Condition:
∎ Field based and with frequent travel to remote project locations.
∎ 70% time is required for field work and staff supervision.
∎ Willing to drive motorcycle in the project areas.

Salary: Tk. 25000 (Monthly)

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ T/A, Weekly 2 holidays, Mobile and Internet Bill
∎ Festival Bonus: 2 (In total equivalent to one month's salary)
