Job Context:
∎ RDRS Bangladesh is implementing People`s Opportunity for Participation and Up-gradation through Learning and Action in Achieving Rights (POPULAAR) Project in Lalmonirhat district supported by DFID and UKAid. Interested and qualified candidates are requested to apply for the position of Project Officer under POPULAAR Project.
∎ Job Location: Lalmonirhat
Job Responsibilities:
∎ S/he has to plan and conduct activities relating to institutional strengthening, awareness raising, advocacy, civic engagement, community mobilization and networking;
∎ Coordinate with advocacy groups at district/Upazila/Union level and provide technical support in designing and implementing their initiatives towards betterment of primary education and other selected services;
∎ Coordinate with other activities of the project, monitor and evaluate progress and the overall achievement of governance enforcement;
∎ Undertake field visits, follow up field implementation and provide technical inputs in governance and advocacy related activities;
∎ Interact with different stakeholders of the project and identify problems, findings and provide the significant support to overcome the problems;
∎ Collect success stories from field and articulate/ prepare case studies on positive changes/ outcome;
∎ Attend at meeting, workshop, seminar as per need of the project;
∎ Conduct training/ workshop as per need of the project;
∎ Undertake all necessary steps and preparation of desk works to arrange and conducting/supporting training and social mobilization activities for different program participants;
∎ Advancing community leadership roles in communication with different tires of govt. and local govt. Agencies;
∎ To provide technical support to Field Coordinator in Facilitating capacity building, peoples participation, advocacy and awareness raising program;
∎ Strengthen capacity of different forums, CBO/CSO, Community Monitoring Groups, youth club, UP leaders parents and community leaders to deal the primary education development activities.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Sound knowledge in advocacy tools and techniques, governance, training methods,
∎ Sound knowledge in Child rights, community mobilization, community health, UP and primary education;
∎ Good facilitation and presentation skills;
∎ Ability of designing advocacy campaign, training guide line, module and materials;
∎ Writing activity report in English and Bengali;
∎ Good command in English and Bengali (Verbal and written).
∎ Experience of implementing activities in the fields of community mobilization, advocacy, primary education.
Salary: Tk. 25000 (Monthly)
