Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ This role will be responsible for overall translation and documentation process of ‘Education Innovation’ project. The translation will mainly focus on English – Rohingya/Chittagonian – Bangla. He/she will support ‘Education Innovation’ related national and international personnel during different activities (i.e. FGD, Workshop, Training, Meeting) at Rohingya camp and host communities though quality translation. The personnel also responsible for project related documentation process (i.e module, case study, success story). As a team member of Education program, he/she will also closely work with program and operation team to fostering the quality program implementation at ground.

∎ Reporting to: Innovation Project Senior Manager - Education Program
∎ Location: Ukhia/Teknaf/Camp
∎ Duration: Up to September 30, 2019 (with possibility of extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure quality translation support during discussion/meeting/interview with Rohingya Refugee and host community people (English - Rohingya/Chittagonian – Bangla)
∎ Extend support as Interpreter during different activities (i.e. training, workshop, meeting)
∎ Translation of project related documents (i.e. story books, implementation guideline, modules)
∎ Ensure project related quality documentation (i.e. case study, success story
∎ Coordinate with different partners for their participation in project activities.
∎ Coordination between program and operation team to ensure implementation of planned activities.
∎ Regular visit at camp and host community for devloping project’s activities.
∎ Functional working relationship with Education and other teams and extend support where necessary and rationale.
∎ Any other relevant tasks assigned by supervisor time to time.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 26 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 1 year with NGO/INGOs. Working experience with Education program will be an additional value.
∎ Proven experience in translation/interpretation services
∎ Speaking fluency in English - Rohingya/Chittagonian - Bangla
∎ Strong writing skill both in English and Bangla.
∎ Good translation skill (For Speaking: English - Rohingya/Chittagonian – Bangla, For writing: English –Bangla/ Rohingya/Chittagonian as value addition)
∎ Experience of working with refugees and vulnerable groups of people, preferred
∎ Understanding and sensitivity to the needs of people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures
∎ Ability to meet deadlines and able to work under pressure
∎ Responsiveness to queries and referrals as and when needed and able to manage a varying workload
∎ Cultural awareness and ability to build relationships quickly with a wide variety of people
∎ Computer skills for translation purposes, preferred

Salary: Tk. 46000 - 48500 (Monthly)
