Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Collect and analyze the data of disability, especially Children with disabilities (CWD).
∎ Conduct accessibility assessments of school infrastructure and access to education.
∎ Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for children with disabilities.
∎ Facilitate the CwD volunteers and monitor their daily activities.
∎ Sensitize the parents and community people.
∎ Mainstreaming the inclusion in every sphere of the implemented activities.
∎ Create a child-friendly learning environment inside the school.
∎ Ensure the necessary Aids/ equipment for the learners.
∎ Develop flip charts and different awareness materials for field-level training.
∎ Conduct training sessions for teachers, CwD volunteers, school staff, and caregivers on inclusive education practices.
∎ Introduce awareness among stakeholders on disability rights, inclusive learning environments, and child protection.
∎ Support staff in developing and implementing inclusive teaching methodologies.
∎ Guide the use of Assistive technologies and inclusive teaching Aids as well.
∎ Work with parents, caregivers, and community members (Maji and Imam) to promote disability rights and inclusive education.
∎ Liaise with local and international organizations for collaboration and advocacy.
∎ Ensure the participation of children with disabilities in school activities.
∎ Develop monitoring tools to track the progress of students with disabilities.
∎ Collect and analyze data on inclusive education implementation.
∎ Prepare regular reports on project impact, challenges, the way forward, and recommendations.
∎ Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies as well.
∎ Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities.
∎ Take initiatives to ensure the security of project staff and participants during the intervention.
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
∎ Ensure team members' safety from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding to establish a safe working environment.
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey the IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
