∎ Position Title: Project Officer - Data Analysis and Reporting under SUBARNA- Phase III
∎ Location: Based in CARE Bangladesh Dhaka Office
∎ Duration: Duration of the contract will be for one year
∎ I. Job Summary:

∎ CARE Bangladesh`s (CARE BD) Humanitarian and Climate Action Program is committed to providing people affected by climatic and geophysical disasters, and conflicts with life-saving assistance and longer-term resilience support, with a special focus on women and girls, who are disproportionately affected by shocks and stresses. Our action includes preparedness and early action, emergency response and recovery, and adaptation to climate change for sustainable and equitable development.
∎ The SUBARNA Project has been hosting the Needs Assessment Working Group (NAWG) which is instrumental in ensuring timely joint/coordinated emergency needs assessment and evidence-based decision-making for emergency response. The NAWG works closely with the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR) and the Humanitarian Coordination Task Team, maintaining close collaboration with the United Nations Resident Coordinator Office, humanitarian clusters and working groups.
∎ The purpose of this position is to support the SUBARNA team in JNA tool development, data collection, data cleaning, data analysis, mapping, and reporting. Also, the roles include data visualization support, capacity building to enhance localized capacities and information sharing with broader spectrum.
