Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Development Studies (MDS) in with thesis Disaster Management, Environmental science, Agricultural Extension Education or any other relevant discipline., Master of Social Science (MSS) in with thesis Disaster Management, Environmental science, Agricultural Extension Education or any other relevant discipline.

Experience Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensures comprehensive and effective communication. 30%.
∎ Be in line with organisational strategic objectives and goals.
∎ Provision of IRB country strategy implementation within programme and projects.
∎ Act as media & communication focal for assigned project/s within the programme.
∎ Ensure IRB and donor visibility within the project.
∎ Ensure effective networking and coordination with national-level stakeholders.
∎ Ensure appropriate links with national/local/UN authorities, state institutions, civil society, LLA platform/working group and other relevant stakeholders, including effective coordination and information exchange with them.
∎ Represent Islamic Relief Bangladesh in different national-level platforms and institutions.
∎ Assist in liaison with partners, government representatives, donor agencies, and national and international NGOs to ensure smooth implementation of the project.
∎ Organising national-level workshops, seminars, trainings etc. for learning sharing, and further organisational development.
∎ Support to strengthen IRB in their capacities and advocacy role in LLA and LAPA.
∎ Generates new ideas and approaches, researches best practices and proposes new, more effective ways of doing things.
∎ Ensure complaint log and register at the project level.
∎ Practice and promote SPHERE and Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) throughout the project.
∎ Knowledge management-related activities.
∎ Prepare timely reporting of activities according to IRB donor and other applicable timeframes and formats as per the organization and with guidance from the Programe lead Manager.
∎ Work with the communication team to prepare video communication materials on project success stories.
∎ Document key changes.
∎ Assist Project management team along with other change ambitions teams on knowledge management elements.
∎ Draft and finalize the bulletins, news briefs for media and newsletters under the guidance of the Programme Team and relevant departments (Advocacy and Communication).
∎ Support to develop advocacy guidelines for LLA scaling up.
∎ Organize advocacy meeting campaigns at the field and national levels on specific issues under projects of change ambitions.
∎ Support to organize national level advocacy meetings collaborating with national daily newspapers and media.
∎ Provide guidance to the field team to organize advocacy campaigns and meetings at the field level and attend the campaign from the country office.
∎ Assist the communication department in developing communication materials on gender equality and women empowerment, labour rights, decent jobs and other issues.
∎ Capture case studies, lessons learnings, and good practices from the project level for the greater audience both nationally and globally.
∎ Develop communication materials on LLA issues.
∎ Provide communication support at events including preparation of press releases, announcements, and social media posts and organize photography and videography activities as required.
∎ Responsible for writing and editing monthly newsletter, website, success stories, PowerPoint presentations, videos, talking points, and social media content.
∎ Focal Lead consultant and research team.
∎ Support programme team in the development of projects. 20%.
∎ Support program field team in their requirement from the IRB country office in daily activities.
∎ Support programme team in data analysis and reporting of different need assessments, baseline and end-line surveys, post-distribution monitoring (PDM) and other planned activities such as various workshops and meetings.
∎ Collect primary & secondary information through FGD, CCM, KII and literature review.
∎ Support programme team in sourcing information and data for project identification.
∎ Support programme team in developing project concept notes, and proposals on a different context.
∎ Policy Brief Develop.
∎ Identifying advocacy strategic issues.
∎ Prepare project documentation and monthly, quarterly and annual reports are being compiled and communications material is produced qualitatively within the appropriate time frame, work plans, objectives and approaches.
∎ Ensure all reporting requirements and project documentation as per donor and project requirements.
∎ Work closely with the Field teams and assist Programme Manager and Project Manager in local level coordination and representation
∎ Carrying out desktop research, using a range of methods and sources of data, related to inequality and social innovation practices.
∎ Conducting qualitative analysis of data conducted through interviews, focus groups, workshops or other methods.
∎ Carrying out quantitative data analysis of existing secondary data sets and primary quantitative data.
∎ Taking Capacity-building initiatives. 10%.
∎ Undertake capacity development of staffs and other stakeholders including guiding area-based staff on field implementation.
∎ Prepare capacity development materials on CCA, LLA, DRR and resilient livelihood; provide technical support in conducting capacity building initiatives, formulation of policies, strategies guidelines, tools.
∎ Support the development of initiatives and partnerships that facilitate knowledge-management on livelihoods, poverty alleviation, CCA, LLA and particularly, their linkages;
∎ Participate and facilitate weekly and monthly project related awareness raising and feedback session i.e., courtyard meeting at community level.
∎ Orient key stakeholders on Complaints & Feedback Mechanism (CFM), Child Protection, Safeguarding & Gender Sensitivity issues in relation to project activities.
∎ Organize training, workshop, fairs etc. in different sector for internal and external stakeholders.
∎ Ensure effective reporting and visibility according to the project need. 20%
∎ Produce documents and analyses innovative strategies/best practices/new approaches, formulate case-studies, knowledge management, and dissemination.
∎ Identify and record success factors and incorporates best practices into project work.
∎ Assess and identify technical assistance needs regarding technical skills, supervision support, etc., for project components within the programme.
∎ Drafting monthly, quarterly, interim, and final narrative reports as per proposal and project needs.
∎ Assure compilation of results, learning and uptake from all the activities.
∎ Update on track System on a regular basis.
∎ Ensure all the project visibility materials and organisational visibility in different stages.
∎ Assist with data collection, processing and analysing data from the field and produce information/briefs for interventions, strategies, projects, and programmes.
∎ Participate in the design, review, and updating of Detailed Implementation Plans and field activities under the project.
∎ Ensure adherence of the project to MEAL framework for measuring the impact of the project.
∎ Documentation and Archiving as per project requirements. 10%.
∎ Compile relevant project data, and prepare documents for creating an evidence base for resilient livelihood, CCA, LLA and DRR.
∎ Maintain administrative/financial files and project documentation.
∎ Archive monthly, quarterly, interim, and final narrative reports as per proposal and project needs.
∎ Assure compilation of results, learning and uptake from all the activities.
∎ Preserve all project-related documents and ensure archiving in the Humanitarian & Resilience Programme department within due time.
∎ Archiving the project documents (hard copy and electronic copy) as per IR guidelines.
∎ Share different information to develop a project with the programme team.
∎ Ensure key project information is kept up to date to allow for successful programme management, by measuring, gathering, monitoring and storage of data including progress of activities against strategic and specific targets.
∎ Appropriate documentation of project assumptions and theory of change for effective and timely achievement of project goals, outcomes, and outputs.
∎ Support the development of initiatives and partnerships that facilitate knowledge management on livelihoods, poverty alleviation, CCA, LLA and particularly, their linkages.
∎ Analyse the impact of the project and promote learning by documentation of best practices. Use this information to support decision-making processes.
∎ Other Requirements 10%.
∎ Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization etc.) activities.
∎ Support in the procurement of materials like requisition, follow-up etc.
∎ Facilitate donor/external visits and ensure that recommendations of visitors are addressed.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, exploitation, Fraud, Bribery or money Laundering to achieve the program's goals of safeguarding implementation and as well as Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on the safeguarding of harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, Fraud, Bribery & Money Laundering for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey the IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required.
∎ Willing and able to travel frequently for extended periods and to remote areas of the projects.
