Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Providing leadership to agriculture/gardening component of WFP funded Self Reliance project including technical guidance for staff and backstopping the implementation of planned activities, monitoring and reporting.
∎ Providing technical expertise and support to improve capacity of the Response staff and partners in order to effectively deliver Self-Reliance projects camp level implementation.
∎ Advocating for the scaling-up of evidence based project models and multiply impact across initiatives/projects under the FSL sector of BRCR.
∎ Manage & Strengthening food security through urban agriculture
∎ Ensure all program designs are based on needs assessment findings (primary & secondary data) and Technical analysis, targets the most vulnerable/chronically vulnerable youth and is operationally viable
∎ Ensure all programs refer to technical standards, consider government standards and are aligned with Strategic Guidance and Do-Assure Don’t Do (DADDs) for the Emergency Responses and Sector Packages
∎ Ensure Cash Transfer/CBT Summery statements are submitted to the following month
∎ Maintain and create strategic partnerships and networks with CIC, Site-management, donors, UN, and others stakeholders in camp level
∎ Actively participate in FSS Cluster meetings to ensure WV programming information is shared and request for cluster mechanisms are responded to
∎ Foster formal government at all levels and community engagement and coordination
∎ Provide technical advice in the grant acquisition, design and implementation of FSL programme
∎ Be part for the negotiation with donors and Support Offices in new opportunity
∎ Lead the development of detailed budget and negotiate acceptable fee / rate with donor
∎ Lead the development of detailed distribution plan and reflect it in the budget
∎ In coordination with the Programme team, design the food security and livelihood programme to ensure it fits with the overall response strategy.
∎ Develop budgets connected to food assistance projects/initiatives in coordination with finance
∎ Provide opportunity for training related on the food sector to direct reports
∎ Represent the BRCR in response forums as advised by FSL management
∎ Liaise with government and other stakeholders and represent world vision on issues related to information management systems, beneficiaries’ data and as delegated by his/her supervisor.
∎ Develop and lead a collaborative approach for organizing joint Lessons Learned workshops across all FSS partners
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years’ experience with NGOs or international development organisations in food security/nutrition/emergency project or programme.
∎ Must have practical working experience knowledge on innovative farming to carry forward homestead gardens in little place for vulnerable.
∎ Knowledge on climate-resilient agriculture which will be contribute to the biodiversity and environmental restoration
∎ Working experience on homestead gardening in camp land for Robingya people and camp level working experience will be preferable
∎ Understands seasonal crop calendar.
∎ Understanding of the permaculture, quick growing vegetables and fruits, community gardening.
∎ Strong understanding of local economic development and ability to diagnose and assess local economies
∎ Experience in conducting workshop, training including cash transfer programs and provide agricultural inputs-seeds, tools etc
∎ Proven experience in designing, implementing and monitoring large food security and livelihood programmes. This includes designing all necessary formats and training staff in the implementation
∎ Basic computer literacy using of Microsoft Office Microsoft Word, Excel, MS Power Point, SPSS & other database program
∎ Strong presentation and communication skills to individuals and groups
∎ Analytical thinking and problem solving ability is essential
