∎ B.Sc in Fisheries, Master’s degree is preferable,
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implementation of the project activities according with approved plan and budget
∎ Maintain high degree of financial integrity and accountability and ensure adherence to Friendship policies and procedures in program spending and budget monitoring
∎ Provide substantial technical and logistical guidance to field-based development and research activities on aquaculture, inland fisheries, and integrated systems of farming, including rice, wetland and horticulture crops.
∎ Work with the relevant government agencies to ensure alignment with their priorities, as well as to reach out to Friendship Fisherman Club(FFC)
∎ Serve as a facilitator and supporter of coordination and communications about aquaculture and fisheries development projects in Southern Bangladesh, liaising with local partners, government agencies and other national and international institutions
∎ Continue experiments on innovative practices (Mixed fish culture, crab fattening, inland fisheries, eel culture, and pearl culture and in particular support for the emergency of a local fisheries sector, etc.)
∎ Solar based irrigation system management
∎ Supporting project reporting and assisting programme management in other activities as and when necessary
∎ Organize and assist with management of project budgets
∎ Team management
∎ Any relevant task assigned by management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 40 years
∎ Experience working with NGO or donor-funded projects on aquaculture, natural resources management, rural development, or environmental conservation
∎ Work experience at Char and Costal area of Bangladesh is a real advantage
