Job Context:
∎ RDRS is a leading national development organisation in Bangladesh working for the poor and underprivileged communities across the country with focus on north-west Bangladesh. Established in 1972 as the field programme of Lutheran World Federation, Geneva, RDRS became a national development organisation in 1997 under the Trust Act. RDRS provides development services to over 3 million households in 32 districts through its four broad programmes - civil empowerment, quality of life, food security & environment, and economic empowerment & opportunity.
∎ Currently RDRS Bangladesh is inviting applications to fill the position of Project Manager for Fight Slavery and Trafficking-In-Persons (FSTIP) Project.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The position will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and implementing all the activities related to the project in line with the results. The position will be the key person of project deliverable on the ground;
∎ Overall responsible to implement the project activities;
∎ Manage, implement and delivery the activities work plan with Project Officer, Counselor, Finance & Administrative Officer and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer of respective project;
∎ Manage and monitor project activities implemented by RDRS Bangladesh including regular field visit;
∎ Facilitate regular communication with and among various level stakeholder;
∎ Represent the program at meetings, workshops, seminars with stakeholders for effective dialogue and advocacy at district and upazila level;
∎ Guide to organize events/workshops/meetings/trainings in the district and upazila level;
∎ Prepare monthly/quarterly/half yearly/yearly report in proper time and proper way;
∎ Ensure a polite and successful interface with all partner organizations, Project Officers, Counselor, Finance & Administrative Officer and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer and other stakeholders;
∎ Ensure quality reporting in coordination with Project Officers, Counselor, Finance & Administrative Officer and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer;
∎ Maintain liaison with government departments, local administration, public representatives and other stakeholders
∎ Establish and maintain communication among WINROCK, Partners NGOs, Focal persons, Government and Civil society, conducive to the implementation of the project
∎ Develop and maintain contacts with all relevant stakeholders
∎ Represent the project at the field level and act as its focal point.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ At least 5 years working experience in development area including managerial experience.
∎ Familiar with donor programs.
∎ Familiar with community awareness, rehabilitation and skill development.
∎ Experience in Networking, Advocacy and Community mobilization.
∎ Knowledge and experience on Project Cycle, Program planning, activities and reporting.
∎ Knowledge and experience on supervision, monitoring and reporting.
∎ Good verbal and written communication skill in Bangla and English.
∎ Ability to understand and communicate with the rural community people and stakeholders.
∎ Coordinate and provide Support to the management for overall project implementation.
∎ Advance knowledge on IT.
∎ Ability to work independently, under pressure and deliver on time.
∎ Proven ability to work as a team leader.
∎ Proven commitment to gender equality, child rights, safeguarding and other human rights issues.
∎ Motorcycle driving skill with knowledge on safety measures and valid license.
