Education:
Master’s degree in climate change, agriculture, environmental sciences, rural development, or related fields.
Proven experience managing community-based climate adaptation or food security projects.
Strong skills in participatory planning, gender integration, and MEL.
Excellent communication, budgeting, and stakeholder management abilities. Familiarity with locally-led adaptation (LLA), agro-ecology, or food system transformation approaches.
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strategic Planning and Leadership
Lead the development and implementation of project work plans, strategies, and timelines.
Align project activities with national climate adaptation and food security policies.
Ensure the integration of local knowledge, indigenous practices, and gender equity.
Facilitate participatory planning with local communities, community-based organizations (CBOs), Indigenous social organization, local governments, and other stakeholders.
Promote inclusive decision-making, particularly for marginalized, indigenous people (IP) and climate-vulnerable groups.
Maintain strong collaboration with local government institutions, civil society, private sector, and donors.
Project Implementation
Oversee day-to-day project operations and field activities.
Ensure timely delivery of outputs and milestones.
Manage budgets, resources, and procurement in accordance with organizational policies.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
Develop and apply MEL frameworks in line with adaptive management principles.
Track progress through field visits, surveys, and regular assessments.
Document lessons learned and promote knowledge sharing and scaling of best practices.
Reporting and Compliance
Prepare high-quality narrative and financial reports for donors and the organization.
Ensure compliance with donor requirements and environmental/safeguards.
Manage risks, troubleshoot issues, and propose solutions proactively.
Team Management
Supervise project staff and ensure clear delegation of responsibilities.
Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and staff development activities.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and climate justice.
Protection Mainstreaming and Quality Programming
Ensure proper implementation of referral pathways and reporting mechanisms; provide support to staff as necessary.
Monitor and report on protection concerns and emerging trends within the areas of operation.
Coordinate effectively with the designated protection focal point of CB to ensure integrated programming.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all data related to beneficiaries, staff, and volunteers, and actively promote this standard across field operations.
Understand and adhere to organization’s Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) and Safeguarding policies, fulfilling responsibilities as a mandated reporter.
