Experience:

Minimum 3 years experience in post- training employment for youth.

Experience in placement, apprenticeship, and employment support.
Experience in labor market analysis and industry linkage.
Experience in gender and inclusion endeavors
Skills & Competencies
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Good understanding of local labor markets, employment trends, and youth economic engagement.
Strong reporting, documentation, and MIS/data management skills.
Ability to build partnerships with employers and community stakeholders.
Proficiency in MS Office applications and reporting tools.
Candidates with proficiency in local dialects/languages of the respective working areas will be given preference.
Travel Requirements:
The position requires frequent travel to project sites within the assigned location.

BITA (Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts), a non-governmental organization, has been administering development initiatives focusing on human rights, cultural upliftment, and poverty alleviation since 1994.
The basis of development intervention in BITA is the rights-based approach. BITA has sequentially developed an empowerment process which starts its journey from building relationships with communities through communication, supporting them in raising of their awareness level, facilitating them in transforming their trust into internalization capacity to visualize self-development, making them confident to become actors from observers.
Background: BITA aims at economic engagement of the NEET youth, especially women, in rural and semi-urban areas of the Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar Districts in Bangladesh through a potential project. The Scope of work of this project is establishing and managing Village Level Training Centers (VLTCs) and implementing associated activities (community engagement, beneficiary/trade selection, training delivery, employment support, enabling environment) across the Chattogram & Cox’s Bazar District’s selected upazilas, leveraging the collective strengths and expertise of all relevant institutions.
Position: Upazila Job Placement Officer
Work Location: Project implementation area as assigned by BITA, Union- level across Chattogram & Cox’s Bazar District’s selected upazilas.
Position Summary
Ensure post- training employment outcomes for youth through employer engagement, job placement, apprenticeship, and career support.
Job Duration: 24 Months. (Note: Recruitment for this position and the final contract are contingent upon the SCI-led Joint Venture being awarded the project contract by the Client.)
Job Responsibilities
• Facilitate post- training wage employment for youth beneficiaries.
• Engage employers, sector experts, and private sector stakeholders.
• Develop coordination between employers and trained youth.
• Support apprenticeship, internship, and employment opportunities.
• Provide mentorship on job search, CV writing, and interview preparation.
• Conduct labor market information surveys to identify demand- driven skills.
• Organize job fairs, expos, and employer engagement events.
• Build linkages with industries near EPZs, EZs, HTPs, STPs, and IZs.
• Document best practices and guide learning extension
