Experience:
Master's / Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Social Science, Business Administration, Management, or relevant discipline.
Experience:
Minimum 3- 5 years of experience in project coordination, management, field operations, youth development, skills training, livelihood, or employment- related programs.
Experience managing multi- district or multi- upazila operations is strongly preferred.
Experience in donor- funded or government- supported projects will be an added advantage.
Experience in managing vocational training institutes,or centres preferably at the community level.
Skills & Competencies

Good understanding of youth development, skills training, and community mobilization.
Connectivity and negotiation skills
Strong reporting, documentation, and MIS/data management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability.

Fluency in Bangla and working knowledge of English.
Candidates with proficiency in local dialects/languages of the respective working areas will be given preference.
Travel Requirements: The position requires frequent travel to project sites within the assigned districts.

BITA (Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts), a non-governmental organization, has been administering development initiatives focusing on human rights, cultural upliftment, and poverty alleviation since 1994.
The basis of development intervention in BITA is the rights-based approach. BITA has sequentially developed an empowerment process which starts its journey from building relationships with communities through communication, supporting them in raising of their awareness level, facilitating them in transforming their trust into internalization capacity to visualize self-development, making them confident to become actors from observers.
Background: BITA aims at economic engagement of the NEET youth, especially women, in rural and semi-urban areas of the Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar Districts in Bangladesh through a potential project. The Scope of work of this project is establishing and managing Village Level Training Centers (VLTCs) and implementing associated activities (community engagement, beneficiary/trade selection, training delivery, employment support, enabling environment) across the Chattogram & Cox’s Bazar District’s selected upazilas, leveraging the collective strengths and expertise of all relevant institutions.
Position: Project Coordinator
Work Location: Project implementation area as assigned by BITA, Union- level across Chattogram & Cox’s Bazar District’s selected upazilas.
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator will lead and manage BITA’s field operations under the Specific Project across the Chattogram & Cox’s Bazar Districts’ selected upazillas. The position will ensure effective implementation of project activities, smooth coordination with field teams and stakeholders, quality operation of VLTCs, timely reporting, and achievement of project targets in line with the set requirements.
Job Duration: 24 Months. (Note: Recruitment for this position and the final contract are contingent upon the SCI-led Joint Venture being awarded the project contract by the Client.)
Job Responsibilities
• Lead overall project management and implementation in Chattogram & Cox’s Bazar districts
• Supervise district/upazila- level teams, trainers, mobilizers, and relevant field staff.
• Ensure effective establishment, operation, and monitoring of VLTCs.
• Coordinate beneficiary selection, community engagement, training delivery, and follow-up activities.
• Ensure timely implementation of skills training, SEB/EDT activities, job placement, apprenticeship, and enterprise support.
• Maintain strong coordination with DYD, local administration, community groups, UYICs, training centers, employers, and project stakeholders.
• Monitor progress against targets, work plans, deliverables, and reporting deadlines.
• Ensure accurate field data collection, MIS entry, verification, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with donor, government, safeguarding, SEA/SH, and BITA policies.
• Prepare regular progress reports, field updates, success stories, and operational documentation.
• Identify implementation challenges and support timely problem- solving at the field level.
• Perform the role of upazila manager of the specific upazila
