Educational Requirements:

Job Context:
∎ Location: Anywhere in Cox`s Bazar district
∎ Contract Duration: Initially for 01 Year with possibility of further extension depending on the performance and funding availability.
∎ Background: Prottyashi is going to implement Education Cannot Wait (ECW)- Bangladesh project for both Host and Rohingya community in Bangladesh. The project is going to support the children aged 3 - 18 years to ensure the access and quality support of educational activities in the mentioned community along with other focuses like inclusion, children with disabilities and gender.
∎ Purpose of Position: The position will be responsible for ensuring quality implementation of the intervention. The major focus will be project management staff coordination, classroom observation, CiC coordination, reporting and monitoring. He/she will also be responsible for supporting project staffs for guidance and quality assurance of the teaching learning activity in the field level. This position will also involve frequent travel to project sites, and close coordination with field facilitators, local partners, and vendors thus requires strong communication and coordination skills.
∎ Reporting: Project Coordinator will report to Director (Program) of Prottyashi. S/He has to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers, project teams and organization`s other priority teams. S/He must be able to communicate with other teams and units both program and operational of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Management:
∎ Responsible to oversee all project activities in Rohingya communities and be the main contact point for the project, government and other stakeholders.
∎ Ensuring programme management and financial management functioning collaboratively and in compliance with accepted standards
∎ Ensure timely implementation of the project activities as defined by the workplan.
∎ Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, mentoring, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes etc
∎ Assist to the project team and other stakeholders define, communicate and drive the strategic vision and goal of the programme
∎ Work in compliance with and respect of the principles of Child Protection and confidentiality, working with FDMN and host communities with sensitivity.
∎ Troubleshoot project problems, launch initiatives to reduce operational costs and defects, identify and implement creative solution for smooth project management
∎ Supervise all the other project staffs including volunteers through maintaining regular communication with the project staffs and conducting regular field visit.
∎ Provide support and monitor the implementation of project activities according to the workplan and scheduled timeline.
∎ Monitor project activities through regular visit in the field to ensure quality of the project deliverables and mobilize the field staffs.
∎ Provide technical support to the direct beneficiaries in case of arising any complication in the field.
∎ Identify safety issues and follow-up with the project assistants and center facilitators on the safety and security of the chosen locations;
∎ Follow up with caregivers/parents on the delivery of progress report of children and the documented competencies gained and skills needed to access formal education in host community;
∎ Ensure that a monthly programmatic/technical progress report is submitted;
∎ Ensure on-time supply of education materials as well as other supportive kits as per project design;
∎ Be aware of the emergency procedures in a response and ensure that necessary preparedness measures have been implemented after coordination with Project Coordinator;
∎ Attend and participate in weekly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality and reporting requirements are followed;
∎ Attend and participate in local training and capacity building events as needed;
∎ Implement project activities in line with education sector's guideline.
∎ Coordination:
∎ Maintain liaison with the funding partners and head office of the Prottyashi for successfully implementation of the project activities.
∎ Maintain coordination with education sector to ensure timely sectoral reporting, progress sharing and strategy setting.
∎ Planning, initiating and reviewing external communication to promote project activities on various platforms.
∎ Preparing presentation for the meetings and issues for the various level of coordination meetings and workshops.
∎ Reporting and Documentation:
∎ Prepare weekly/monthly progress report with the cooperation of other project staffs and submit to the Director (Program) of Prottyashi.
∎ Assist Finance and Procurement Officer to prepare monthly financial report through matching activities implemented.
∎ Prepare document of all events, program learning, process, and impacts of project should be sent to the central program team.
∎ Nurturing relationship with the press to mobilize it as and designing content for proactive media campaign as well as for publishing in local and national media.
∎ Collect field level evidence of project activities through photographs and send it to the central monitoring team of Prottyashi.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 05 years of professional experience in national or international organizations in coordinating similar projects.
∎ Should have 3 years of experience on managing, coordinating and implementing field level education project in the humanitarian response.
∎ Knowledge of safety issues concerning children and adolescent;
∎ Knowledge of child protection and Psycho-Social support programming;
∎ Ability to train and coach staff, on ECD, Facilitation skills, parent's empowerment.
∎ Good command of English, both written and oral;
∎ Skill of photography
∎ Good command of Chittagonian language is highly appreciable;
∎ Proficient with MS office suite
∎ Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity;
∎ Creative and able to come up, embrace and coordinate innovative thinking, and problem solving skills;
∎ Positive attitude with a willingness to learn;
∎ Ability to cope and work under pressure;
∎ Well-organized, self-motivated and ability to work in a team;
∎ Ability to work in difficult and high risk situations;
∎ Position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally;
∎ Position requires willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis situation, including during a PROTTYASHI response to a manmade or natural disaster;
∎ Skill of photography
∎ Must have professional writing and speaking capacity in English and Bangla, i.e. monitoring report, field visit report, event report, case study/story, press release, content writing, etc.
∎ Able to take decision in a timely manner, priorities and multi-task work seamlessly

Salary:
∎ Monthly Gross Salary will be 80,608 BDT
