- Master of Social Science (MSS) in Development Studies
- Master’s degree in Development Studies or any relevant discipline.
Requirements: Skills Required: Additional Requirements: - Age Limit: Maximum 48 years (Flexible for highly experienced candidates)
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional experience in disability-inclusive programs, Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR), or community development.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Bangla and English typing
- Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Responsibilities & Context: Job Context: AWAC is planning to recruit a Project Coordinator for the project titled “The Meaningful Participation and Inclusion of Children and Youths with Disabilities in All Domains of CBR (MaPInCBR)” supported by the Liliane Foundation (LF).

Reporting To: Chief Executive / Program Director
Job Overview: The Project Coordinator will lead efforts to ensure the meaningful participation and inclusion of children and youth with disabilities across all domains of Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR). The role involves coordination with stakeholders, ensuring the timely delivery of program goals, and fostering a supportive and empowering environment for children and their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Implementation:
- Design and implement activities that foster the inclusion of children and youth with disabilities across CBR domains (Education, health, livelihood, social and empowerment).
- Develop program work plans, budgets, and strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ensure all program activities are inclusive, accessible, and rights-based.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, local authorities, and community organizations to promote inclusion.
- Build partnerships with disability-focused organizations and service providers.
- Act as the main liaison between the program and local communities to ensure active participation.
Capacity Building:
- Conduct training sessions for community members, educators, and healthcare professionals on disability rights, inclusion, and accessibility.
- Provide mentorship and support to program staff on inclusive practices.
Advocacy and Awareness:
- Organize campaigns and events to raise awareness about the rights and needs of children and youth with disabilities.
- Advocate for inclusive policies and practices at the community and institutional levels.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare monthly, bi-monthly, half-yearly and Annual Report in In English and share to donor.
- Documents project learning’s and ensure preserving those documents for further use.
- Keep regular communication with donor part and do necessary correspondence as required.
- Bangla & English both typing Computer skill (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint upper Skill)
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement tools to monitor the impact of program activities on inclusion and participation.
- Collect and analyze data to assess progress toward program goals.
- Prepare and present detailed reports to management and stakeholders.
Resource Management:
- Ensure efficient use of program resources to maximize impact.
- Identify funding opportunities and support in grant writing and resource mobilization.
Child and Youth Engagement:
- Facilitate platforms for children and youth with disabilities to voice their opinions and participate in decision-making processes.
- Promote peer-to-peer support and leadership development among youth participants.
Policy and Standards Compliance:
- Ensure program alignment with international standards such as the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).
- Promote and uphold child protection and safeguarding policies.
Safeguarding responsibilities:
- Adhere to AWAC's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.
- Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.
- Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.
Additional responsibilities:
- Perform any other responsibility assign by AWAC management.
Job Other Benifits: Salary Range: BDT 60,500/- (Including festival bonus)
