Experience:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Agriculture

• Bachelor degree in agriculture, Agronomy, Environmental Science, Climate Change Adaptation, or a related field.

• Age 25 to 40 years

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in climate-smart agriculture, livelihood development, or food security projects, preferably in NGO/INGO settings.

Proven experience in designing and implementing climate-resilient farming systems, homestead gardening, and value chain development.

Previous work in Cox’s Bazar or similar refugee/host community contexts is highly desirable.

Experience with BMZ, EU, or other donor-funded projects is an advantage.

Age limit 25 – 40 years

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of climate-resilient agriculture, integrated farming systems, water management, and sustainable land use practices.

Familiarity with gender-responsive and nutrition-sensitive programming in agriculture.

Ability to conduct field assessments, crop monitoring, and yield estimation.

Computer literacy

Management & Communication Skills:

Excellent training facilitation, report writing, and communication skills in English and Bengali.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis tools.

Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure in remote and resource-limited settings.

Strong ethical standards and dedication to humanitarian principles.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Agriculture and Climate Change Officer will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and monitoring of all climate-smart agriculture, homestead gardening, livestock, and agro-based livelihood activities under the project. S/he will ensure the integration of climate adaptation, environmental sustainability, and nutrition-sensitive approaches into all agricultural interventions, directly contributing to improved food security, income diversification, and resilience of target households in both Rohingya and host communities.
