∎ The Resettlement Support Centre Asia (RSC Asia), funded by the US State Department Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), assists persons throughout Asia seeking permanent resettlement in the United States. Responsible for a portfolio of 37 countries, RSC Asia: prepares refugee applications for the United States Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) using START (a State Department-managed data system that supports the arrival and resettlement of refugees through technology); provides information to resettlement agencies about arriving refugees and offers cultural orientation training to refugees bound for the United States.
∎ Purpose: The Program Support Officer (PSO), Bangladesh is responsible for case creation, pre-screen and USCIS interview scheduling, call list creation and distribution, and assist with interpreter schedule for any RSC Asia activities. The PSO will assist in monitoring the pipeline, ensure targets are met, and future circuit rides are coordinated as planned in close coordination with the Program Support team. The PSO will support the maintenance of all aspects of RSC Asia filing system including physical and electronic case records, and case related documents. This position reports to the Program Support Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Case Creation & Scheduling:
∎ Ensure timeline case creation of refugee cases in START to be submitted and authorized for USRAP processing.
∎ Ensure timely scheduling, preparation, and quality control of cases for DNA collection, pre-screening, USCIS and follow-up circuit rides in line with established targets and deadlines.
∎ Assist in routine quality control (QC) procedures once case creations and schedules are completed.
∎ Collaborate with Interpreter Services team to ensure interpreters are scheduled accurately for all RSC Asia activities as needed.
∎ Prepare call lists submission to relevant program and/or program support staff and stakeholders regarding applicant appointments in a timely manner.
∎ Record accurately case call lists, SCH IDs, and relevant guidelines in the designated location in shared drive.
∎ Ensure adequate stock of case creation supplies is maintained in the office.
∎ Records/Library:
∎ Respond to requesters for case files in a timely and professional manner.
∎ Localize case files, organize, and manage packing case files in an appropriate container for transporting files out of the library and for international shipping.
∎ Review, assign and ensure accurate codes in both library and/or the RFID system accurate matches the barcode label on each case folder.
∎ Ensure accuracy of files movement in Cox's Bazar library, and processing sites, and that all files are accounted for by using the database and RFID software accurately daily.
∎ Lock and secure Bangkok library access to always ensure security of all case files as well as ensure that only authorized library personnel enter the library and strictly adhere RSC Program Integrity Guidelines Regarding Refugee Case Files.
∎ Maintain systematic files organization, keep case files in their designated locations, and always keep the library tidy and clean.
∎ Others:
∎ Other duties as assigned by supervisor or Program Support Coordinator.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least two years of relevant professional experience in interpretation services is required.
∎ Resettlement processing or other NGO experience is preferred.
∎ Previous work in a multicultural environment is preferred.
∎ High level of professionalism while carrying duties per the USRAP Integrity and Compliance guidelines.
∎ Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and meet deadlines, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.
∎ Ability to support activities through good listening and analytical skills.
∎ Able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
∎ Strong communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively and professionally with partners, colleagues, interpreters and refugee clients.
∎ Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
∎ Flexible and willing to learn and take on new tasks.
∎ Mature, positive attitude and able to work under pressure
∎ Excellent verbal and written English language skills required.
∎ Working knowledge of a Rohingya language is required.
∎ Computer Literacy -competence in Ms Office i.e. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook desired.
