Job Context:
∎ The Program Support Logistic Officer – Tech s responsible to ensure all technical support to ensure all installation, maintenance and develop electrical systems and functions of the Isolation Center under the direct supervision of Program Support Senior Officer during COVID-19 response. (S)he will support to manage transport (vehicle and ambulance) schedule, maintenance of generator, pump and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure functional condition of Isolation Center in Shamlapur, Teknaf. (S)he will work closely with the Operations team based in Ukhiya and Cox`s Bazar.

∎ Contract Length: 6 Months
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist to prepare transport schedule and ensure vehicle/ ambulance support to the medical staff
∎ Ensure to install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems including fuses, lights, and wiring.
∎ Assist to inspect, test and diagnose issues with electrical systems of the Center.
∎ Inspect electrical systems and equipment to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair to ensure functional condition of Isolation Center.
∎ Ensure to installs pipes & fixtures, such as sinks & toilets for water, gas, steam, air or other liquids.
∎ Ensure repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, and opening clogged drains.
∎ Ensure all servicing maintenance work for generator, pump and other equipment as necessary.
∎ Visually inspect equipment and operate test equipment such as pressure and vacuum gauges to determine the cause and location of trouble.
∎ Support to manage fleet and follow up movement schedule as per plan.
∎ Manage all Technical support staffs (Electrician, Plumber, Fleet Assistant).
∎ Ensure all the support staff are appropriately performing his job according to the terms of references and be in position to set performance goal.
∎ Responsible to ensure all facility of the Center and coordinate with others team.
∎ Staff Supervision & Development:
∎ Provide encouraging mentorship and supervision to direct reports.
∎ Provide feedback to staff regarding their performance, including timely implementation of the regular check in, annual staff performance management system in operations department.
∎ Promote an open, diverse and participatory work environment.
∎ Directly manage Electrician, Plumber, Fleet Assistant.
∎ Field Management Support:
∎ Assist Facility Operation lead to maintain Isolation center control and efficiency.
∎ Support the.Sr. Facility Support Officer to ensure support on time.
∎ Government Compliance, Liaison/Representation & Coordination:
∎ Assist the Facility Operation lead establishing, developing and sustaining a strong relationship with government counterparts to ensure timely approvals for IRC’s access to operate in both Rohingya camps and host community that enables smooth program delivery which is also aligned with GoB rules and regulations for INGOs in Bangladesh.
∎ Staff Safety & Security:
∎ Implement the facility audit action points of all IRC facility on regular interval and take necessary action considering staff safety, security and wellbeing.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 year of experience in Logistic/Operation
∎ Experience of working with UN Agencies or Non-Governmental Organizations
∎ Must willing to work during COVID-19 response. Work from office & field
∎ Candidate who can join immediately will have priority
∎ Very good skills MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point
∎ Excellent interpersonal and team skills
∎ Dedications to humanitarian principles and values
∎ Dedications to and understanding of IRC’s aims, values and principles
∎ People who have knowledge in Chittagogian language will get preference
