Job Context:
∎ Job Location: The Asia Foundation`s main office in Dhaka (with frequent travel)
∎ Reports to: Chief of Party
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Play a lead role in developing and implementing project monitoring and evaluation (M&E) plan.
∎ Develop capacity of project staff to use program monitoring tools at the field level.
∎ Maintain project monitoring database and produce regular analytical reports based on the data.
∎ Conduct regular monitoring visits to the field, document observations, success stories, and lessons learned, and prepare regular reports.
∎ Assist in implementation of project activities, facilitate training workshops, manage project events, and supervise partner activity.
∎ Assist in scheduling meetings and coordinating with local stakeholders, including civil society organizations, think tanks, universities, Bangladesh Police and other law enforcement agencies, Community Policing Forum members, community members, donors and project partners.
∎ Conduct outreach to a variety of stakeholders.
∎ Assist in the design and implementation of research and other activities planned during the project period, under the guidance of the Chief of Party.
∎ Monitor activities and procedures to ensure they are in line with donor compliance requirements, project objectives, and Asia Foundation policies and procedures.
∎ Monitor and ensure timely production and submission of relevant activities and reports by consultants or partners.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 4 years of demonstrated experience working for an international organization on Monitoring and Evaluation, preferably on programs or projects focused on human rights, safety and security, and/or community policing.
∎ Demonstrated experience networking with donors, local partner organizations, Bangladesh Police and other law enforcement agencies, civil society, and government stakeholders.
∎ Sound understanding of donor reporting requirements.
∎ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task and handle complex programming challenges.
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
∎ Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
∎ Ability to develop new ideas and flexibility to go the extra mile to make them become reality and in completing program assignments.
∎ Ability to travel and undertake fieldwork in rural contexts.
∎ Strong computer skills.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla.
