Experience:
Master Degree in Management, Development Studies, MPH, Social Science, Psychology, Education, Agriculture and Livelihood Area, Rehabilitation Science (Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy/Prosthetics and Orthotics, ), or any other similar /relevant field.
Preferable: PGD in Project Management.
At least 5 years in disability inclusion related program management
Proven experience managing operational components on large, complex donor-funded projects (with a strong preference for past disability focused project management experience, especially in Rohingya response context)

Strong interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with teams, local counterparts, donors, and other stakeholders to achieve results
Fluency in Bangla and working written and oral proficiency in English are required

Job Responsibility and context
The Program Manager will lead the field-level implementation of the project, working in close coordination with Head Office management, partners, and other key stakeholders. This role is responsible for ensuring operational effectiveness, compliant activity implementation, and providing a broad range of project management, operational, and technical support.
Major Responsibilities
Project Management & Operational Leadership
Team Leadership: Lead and guide the project team to ensure activities are executed in a coordinated, efficient manner in consultation with senior management.
Work Planning: Develop detailed monthly, periodic, and quarterly project implementation plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external colleagues and partners to resolve operational issues, provide solutions, and develop demand-focused climate-smart agricultural actions.
Issue Resolution: Troubleshooting critical project challenges—including award management, financial issues, personnel matters, and compliance hurdles—in consultation with management.
Technical & Field Implementation
Climate-Smart Agriculture: Implement and evaluate field interventions based on local suitability, assessing their viability from a climate-smart agricultural perspective and overall return for farmers.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain close communication with local government authorities and administration to support activity planning and alignment.
Community Planning: Ensure active project participation in local-level planning and execution phases.
Compliance, Documentation & Reporting
Audit Readiness: Maintain accurate, easily accessible compliance records and documentation for upcoming audits and reviews.
Compliance Culture: Promote a clear, shared understanding of compliance responsibilities and expectations across the entire project team.
Progress Reporting: Prepare high-quality monthly, quarterly, and need-based periodic implementation reports for management.
Safeguarding & Workplace Culture
Safe Environment: Ensure the team is protected from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve safeguarding goals.
Expert Guidance: Act as the primary source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding to maintain a safe working environment.
Policy Endorsement: Actively practice, promote, and endorse safeguarding policies among team members, ensuring implementation standards are met in all courses of action.
Incident Reporting: Follow and uphold strict safeguarding reporting procedures if a reportable incident occurs, encouraging a culture of accountability.

Independent Decisions
The Program Manager is fully authorized to make independent decisions regarding:
Organizing regular status update meetings with the internal project team.
Scheduling and structuring weekly/bi-weekly progress meetings with senior management.
Identifying internal resource persons to build capacity and enhance the competencies of National Liaison Representatives (NLRs) based on identified needs.
Supporting the timely, high-quality review and submission of standard project deliverables.
