Additional Requirements:
- Age 28 to 40 years
- Only Male
- Fresh agriculturists or having 2-3 years’ experience. Or, the incumbent having a Diploma in Agriculture with 6-7 years’ experience in hybrid rice seed production.
Responsibilities & Context:
To give instruction/guidance for hybrid rice seed production to JAPO/APO and Contract Farmers’.
To execute production program as per schedule and guidance of Production Manager.
To select the suitable block/land in different areas independently.
To manage labour & handle any kind of local problem.
To conduct seed production training program in his commanding area.
To manage seedbed and all kind of production activities like irrigation management, fertilizer management and pest control measurement, weed management, roguing, GA3 application, supplementary pollination, harvesting and post-harvest management as per standard operational procedure.
To ensure timely collection/distribution of the seeds of parent line and chemicals required for hybrid rice production in the own block or among the Contract Farmers.
To prepare detailed plans of works for proper execution of seed production program.
To make intensive field visit program to own production and contract growers’ field.
To help in growing leadership in the team.
To create awareness among the staffs to adapt with seed processing, drying and preservation technology at the desired Seed Standards.
To remain responsible for personnel management of the seed production Staff.
To help JAPO/APO maintaining the ledger and various registers of Accounts Dept.
To prepare production related bills and adjustment to be submitted to Production Manager.
To control the budget of the block related to production.
To report to Production Manager for own field activities.
To work under pressure at anywhere of the production regions. Bound to carry out any other responsibility imposed by the management at anywhere any time.
