Job Title: Product Developer

Job Summary

Product Developer will be responsible for creating apparel designs, developing design ideas, preparing basic technical details, and sourcing fabrics and accessories. This role requires good design skills, garment knowledge, and practical sourcing experience to support the product development process from design to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop creative, trend-driven active-wear and western clothing designs and seasonal collections aligned with brand and market requirements.

• Apply strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, cutting, and pattern development to ensure proper fit and production feasibility.

• Prepare and manage detailed Tech Packs, including measurements, fabrics, trims, stitching, and finishing guidelines.

• Visualize and present design ideas through CAD, 3D designs, sketches, and digital renderings.

• Source fabrics, trims, and accessories while maintaining vendor relationships and ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.

• Support sampling, fittings, PP approvals, timeline management, and prepare, monitor, and submit costing of goods while staying updated on fashion trends and sourcing markets.
  

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of garment construction, including pattern making, draping, and sewing techniques.

• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator for technical flats and Adobe Photoshop for textile prints and design work.

• Ability to use 3D design software to support virtual sampling and design development.

• Skilled in preparing Technical Packs (Tech Packs) with accurate measurements, fabric details, trims, and stitching instructions.

• Good knowledge of fabrics, including hand-feel, drape, weight, and behavior of knits and woven fabrics during production.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing, Textile Engineering, or related field from BGMEA University, Shanto-Mariam University, or any other fashion designing recognized institution.
  
  

Experience Requirements

• Internship to 2 years of experience in Fashion Design, Apparel Product Development, or Sourcing.

• Fresh graduates with strong portfolios and practical exposure will be encouraged to apply.Candidates from other academic backgrounds may also apply if they demonstrate strong interest and expertise in garments, clothing design, or fashion development.
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong design sense and creativity

• Knowledge of pattern making and garment construction

• Proficiency in Tech Pack development

• Ability to visualize concepts and create 3D or digital designs

• Understanding of fabric types, trims, and garment accessories

• Strong sourcing and vendor coordination skills

• Good communication and teamwork abilities
