∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
Fashion Designing, CAD, Textile Engineering
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Buying House, Garments, Textile
Job Context:
∎ The person will be required to develop, create & Execute a collection of womenswear product Design Jobs according to the direction given by the Head of Department, working within a Garments Manufacturing with state-of-the art set up, which has been supplying a wide range of world-class RMGs to many up-market buyers/brands throughout UK, Europe, USA and Asia for more than a decade. The incumbent should have the hands-on experience in the following functions:
∎ Job Location: Dhaka EPZ, Savar
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Research the market to stay current on color direction, trends, styling and washes. Read trade and fashion magazines and competitive shopping
∎ Research and develop new findings, fabrics, trims, and labels. Present sketches as directed by Head of Department
∎ Open and build all tech packs with precise detailed information
∎ Order new fabric/trim and maintain detailed and organized fabric/trim description, price, construction and content etc. If sourcing trim, responsible for creating trim sheets with all of the information complete.
∎ Review sizing and placement of artwork, strike offs and washes for approval
∎ Interface/communicate with production, merchandising and product development teams
Additional Requirements:

∎ Skilled at Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
∎ Flat sketching skills
∎ Pattern knowledge
∎ Colour sensibility
∎ Knowledge of the wash/dye process, embellishments and different fabrics
∎ Effective time management and ability to stay organized
∎ Should have good communication skill in English
∎ A very good knowledge of fashion design/ development functions related to global fashion industries
∎ Must be familiar with the current happenings in the Fashion Industries around the world
∎ Solid sense of creating designs ensuring they reflect targeted market profiles
