∎ Essential Requirements:
∎ Education: Minimum B. Sc. in Engineering from any reputed university with good academic records (Preferably in Mechanical, EEE, CSE, Civil Engineering & Textile Engineering).
∎ Experience: Minimum 15 years working experience in any reputed Educational Institute/Development sectors, including at least 03 (Three) years working experience as Vice Principal/Deputy Manager or 02 (Two) years working experience as Principal/Manager.
∎ Age: The age limit for the applicant would be 50 years. Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications.
∎ Others:
∎ Preference will be given to certification in CBT&A, NTVQF level-IV and above.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead and oversee the overall operations of the region including Polytechnic and TVET Institutes, and Technical Schools—covering academic, administrative, and financial functions.
∎ Develop and implement a comprehensive Business Plan with short- and long-term strategic goals, including marketing and fundraising strategies, to ensure revenue generation and sustainability of the institutions.
∎ Ensure quality delivery of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), in line with CBT&A, BTEB, and NSDA standards, and aligned with the mission and vision of UCEP Bangladesh.
∎ Ensure timely registration, renewal, and compliance as a Registered Training Organization (RTO) and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Centre.
∎ Actively pursue national and international accreditations and certifications to promote institutional growth and credibility.
∎ Develop and ensure effective implementation of an Operational Manual that aligns with Government of Bangladesh (GoB) regulations, UCEP Bangladesh policies, and relevant national laws.
∎ Prepare and implement Annual Operational Plans for the Polytechnic, TVET Institutes, and Technical Schools, along with individual work plans for all staff.
∎ Ensure the availability, development, and regular update of teaching-learning materials, including curricula, syllabi, session plans, lesson plans (CBT-based), CBLMs, co-curricular content, logbooks, learner progress charts, and other training aids as per BTEB guidelines.
∎ Conduct labor market surveys to identify high-demand occupations in key economic sectors and develop relevant, fee-based training programs for youth, adults, and professionals (e.g., instructors, assessors, supervisors).
∎ Oversee the implementation of multiple training and education projects across the assigned region.
∎ Supervise and mentor all institutional staff, ensuring a performance-based management approach.
∎ Develop and implement annual training and enrollment plans aligned with project and institutional targets.
∎ Maintain accurate records of trainees, assessments, certifications, and outcomes.
∎ Monitor learner progress, ensure timely certification, and facilitate job placement through industry linkages.
∎ Ensure effective coordination with donors, government agencies, employers, and project partners.
∎ Uphold and promote standards related to safeguarding, gender equality, disability inclusion, and child protection.
∎ Ensure proper maintenance and utilization of training equipment, tools, and infrastructure.
∎ Foster strong partnerships with industries to create opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, and employment.
∎ Organize and facilitate institutional and regional-level events, meetings, and exposure visits.
∎ Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to ensure quality assurance and operational efficiency.
∎ Maintain financial discipline, oversee procurement processes, and ensure compliance with UCEP’s financial policies.
∎ Represent UCEP’s TVET and Polytechnic institutions in regional education and skill development forums.
∎ Prepare and submit timely reports, case studies, and success stories to the Head Office and donors.
∎ Support staff development through training, mentoring, and career advancement opportunities.
∎ Collaborate with other UCEP TVET institutes to promote knowledge sharing and joint initiatives.
∎ Strengthen community engagement efforts to enhance awareness and increase learner enrollment.
∎ Ensure a safe, inclusive, and learner-friendly environment within all institutions.
∎ Support proposal development, partnership building, and resource mobilization efforts.
∎ Perform any other duties as assigned by UCEP management.
