Preferred Professional Certifications for Senior Architect (Bangladesh)

- BARC Registration (Bangladesh Architects Council) – A mandatory professional license for practicing architects in Bangladesh.
- IAB Membership or Certification (Institute of Architects Bangladesh) – Strongly recommended for professional recognition and industry engagement.
- LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) – Demonstrates expertise in sustainable and environmentally responsible building practices.
- Revit Certification (BIM Training) – Proof of proficiency in Building Information Modeling and modern architectural workflows.
- Project Management Training or PMP Certification – Indicates skill in managing large-scale architectural projects, timelines, and teams.
- Advanced Software Proficiency – Certification or proven training in tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop, or other essential design software.
- Sustainability & Green Building Courses – Awareness of eco-conscious construction methods and standards.
- Optional: Interior Design or Urban Planning Certifications – Adds value in multidisciplinary projects or specialized areas of design.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, V-Ray, Lumion, Photoshop (Revit is a plus)

- Prior experience in business/client-facing roles will be highly valued
Responsibilities & Context:
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Principal Architect to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a senior-level opportunity for someone who can lead architectural design while also contributing to the business growth of our firm through strategic client engagement, design consultation, and brand positioning.
Work Schedule:
Part-time: 4 days per week
Working Hours: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM (3 Hours)
Core Responsibilities:
Architectural Design & Leadership
- Lead the conceptual design process for residential and commercial projects
- Review, supervise, and guide 2D drafts, 3D visualizations, and detailed working drawings
- Maintain architectural integrity, functional quality, and aesthetic standards
- Collaborate with engineers and junior architects to develop integrated design solutions
- Ensure climate-responsive, cost-effective, and sustainable architectural planning
Client Communication & Business Development
- Represent the company in high-level client meetings and design presentations
- Translate client needs into effective design solutions that align with business goals
- Provide leadership in proposal writing, project scoping, and design strategy
- Support the marketing team with design showcases and storytelling
- Build long-term client relationships by delivering value-driven architectural guidance
Team Mentoring & Quality Assurance
- Mentor junior architects and ensure design consistency across all projects
- Perform periodic design reviews to maintain quality and compliance
- Develop standard processes to improve team output and efficiency
