Job Context:

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Portfolio Manager with a CFA certification to manage client portfolios and help them achieve their long-term financial goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for the stock market, a strong understanding of financial markets, asset allocation strategies, and the curiosity to stay ahead of trends. This role blends high-level portfolio oversight with hands-on research collaboration, and is perfect for someone who thrives on making smart, data-informed investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Portfolio Management & Strategy

  • Construct and manage diversified client portfolios tailored to risk tolerance, investment horizon, and financial objectives.
  • Perform regular portfolio reviews, rebalancing, and risk assessments to optimize return potential.
  • Monitor performance relative to benchmarks and client goals, using tools such as Sharpe Ratio, Alpha, and Maximum Drawdown.

2. Research Collaboration & Oversight

  • Oversee and utilize macroeconomic, sectoral, and security-level research to support investment decision-making.
  • Integrate insights from economic indicators (GDP, inflation, rates) and industry-specific KPIs into portfolio strategy.
  • Ensure coordination with research analysts on daily market briefs, weekly performance updates, and monthly sector reviews.

3. Client Communication & Customization

  • Meet regularly with clients to communicate performance, strategy, and market developments.
  • Prepare reports detailing returns, asset allocation, risk, and rationale behind portfolio decisions.
  • Adjust strategies based on evolving client needs or market shifts.

4. Trading & Execution

  • Execute trades with a focus on minimizing costs and optimizing timing and liquidity.
  • Ensure seamless collaboration with trading teams for execution and settlement.

5. Compliance & Ethics

  • Maintain high ethical standards and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Keep detailed records of trades, portfolio activity, and reporting for internal and external audits.

6. Team Leadership

  • Mentor junior analysts and associates; guide research objectives and drive team learning.
  • Lead development and backtesting of new strategies, incorporating scenario analysis and stress testing.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Absolute and risk-adjusted return generation above benchmark.
  • Client portfolio growth and goal achievement.
  • Consistency of high watermark and hurdle performance over time.
  • Quality of integration between research and portfolio results.
  • Client retention and satisfaction ratings.
