Job Experience

• Three to five years of experience in:– Agricultural insurance– Cattle/livestock/dairy sector– Crop risk assessment or crop field operations– Microfinance or NGO field leadership roles– Rural distribution or agent network management

• Prior experience supervising field officers or sales teams is highly preferred

• Experience in claim assessment or verification is an added advantage

Requirements

• Strong understanding of livestock mortality risks, seasonal diseases, and farm operations

• Good knowledge of crop cycles, planting stages, yield measurement, and box-plotting

• Ability to lead large field teams across multiple districts

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Comfortable with frequent field travel

• Proficiency with mobile apps, field tools, dashboards, and digital reporting

• Strong strategic thinking and execution ability

Special Requirements

• Must be able to handle sensitive field situations such as cattle death or crop damage

• Must maintain integrity, transparency, and ethical standards in all insurance processes

• Strong relationship-building skills with farmers, vets, local leaders, and agri businesses

• Ability to work early mornings or evenings when farmers are available

• High attention to detail in field reports, documents, photographs, and risk data

In Bangladesh, we provide biometric livestock identification, cattle insurance, crop insurance, rural financing, digital risk scoring, and claim support services.

We work with insurers, banks, MFIs, feed companies, and development partners to bring affordable and trusted agri-insurance solutions to smallholder farmers.

We are expanding our Agri Insurance Division and seeking an experienced Agri Insurance Sales Lead to drive growth across cattle and crop insurance.

Position Overview

The Agri Insurance Sales Lead will oversee sales expansion for cattle and crop insurance, manage district-level field teams, develop partnerships with rural ecosystem players, and ensure high-quality onboarding and claim support.

You will play a leadership role in scaling rural insurance across dairy, livestock, and crop farming communities.

Key Responsibilities

Insurance Sales & Business Expansion

• Lead sales of cattle insurance and crop insurance across assigned regions
• Develop sales and farmer acquisition plans district by district
• Set sales targets and guide field teams to achieve them
• Identify high-potential livestock clusters and crop belts for expansion

Field Operations & Farmer Onboarding

• Oversee farmer onboarding, cattle verification, crop field surveys, and risk assessments
• Ensure accurate data collection including crop box-plotting, livestock health reporting, and KYC
• Monitor field quality and compliance during insurance enrollment

Team Management & Training

• Train field agents on livestock risks, crop risks, policy guidelines, and claim triggers
• Build a performance-driven sales culture in field teams
• Conduct refresher training and performance reviews

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement

• Build partnerships with MFIs, NGOs, dairy farms, feed companies, vets, cooperatives, and agri input dealers
• Support insurers with underwriting data, risk assessment, and field validation
• Represent InsureCow in district-level meetings and partner engagements

Claim Support & Verification

• Coordinate livestock mortality verification and ensure timely field reporting
• Guide field agents in preparing crop loss documentation
• Ensure accurate photos, geo-tags, reports, and farmer statements
• Work closely with insurer partners to facilitate smooth claim settlement

Reporting & Performance Tracking

• Monitor district-wise performance
• Maintain dashboards and weekly sales reports
• Identify bottlenecks and develop solutions for growth
