Job Context:

∎ Yellow is looking for an experienced candidate to work as a senior manager in its planning/analytics department. Export merchandisers are not suited for this role and will not be considered. Retail merchandising or analytical experience required meeting the following Job Role :
Job Responsibilities:
∎ analyze historical data and current trends to identify risks and opportunities by season and category
∎ planning product ranges and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with buyers
∎ forecasting profits and sales, and optimizing the sales volume and profitability of designated product areas
∎ controlling stock levels based on forecasts for the season
∎ analyzing every aspect of bestsellers (for example, the bestselling price points, colors or styles) and ensuring that they reach their full potential
∎ monitoring slow sellers and taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary
∎ coordinating with designers, analysts, stores, factory
∎ planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts and figures for new ranges
∎ managing, training and supervising the retail analysis team
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 28 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ An analytical individual that is comfortable working with large volumes of numerical data
∎ Able to pick out trends and patterns from historical sales data
∎ Required: Strong MS Excel skills
∎ Preferred: Advanced MS Excel skills including lookups and pivot tables.
∎ Working knowledge of forecasting, creating budgets, timelines
∎ Interest in fashion and retailing
