Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Must have a comprehensive understanding of textile materials and processes keeping in mind the socio-cultural and historical context of textile; in relation to craft, trends, consumers and market.
∎ Able to prepare and present story/ mood/ color boards,
∎ Should have sound knowledge of machine embroidery and hand embroidery.
∎ Understand basic weaving techniques and jargons.
∎ Must have excellent color sense and design aesthetic.
∎ Should have knowledge of fabric types and fabric sources.
∎ Basic understanding of industrial apparel manufacturing which includes stitching and trim technicalities.
∎ Able to understand customer needs through analytic reports and produce designs accordingly.
∎ Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts.
