Job Responsibilities:
∎ The position holder is responsible for the below tasks:

∎ managing an area of responsibility that forms part of the programme objectives, team agreements and/or agreements with the superior
∎ assisting project/programme initiatives to provide professional advisory services to and cooperate with a broad range of target groups
∎ advise supervisor on all task when implementing GIZ rules and regulation
∎ advise supervisor in the field of project's planning, steering and monitoring
∎ independently implement goals and requirements set by the line manager
∎ make decisions which have a short-term effect within a limited project area/ unit
∎ assist supervisor to identify day to day problem and suggest appropriate solution

∎ In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:

∎ Tasks:
∎ Core scope of tasks
∎ Quality Assurance and reporting:
∎ Based on a M&E system developed by the programme, the Performance (M&E) Professional will:
∎ Guide PNGOs in preparing their progress reports together with them and the relevant team members, analyse the reports in terms of problems and actions needed
∎ Collate, organize, analyze and manage the data gathered from the PNGOs
∎ Ensure effective analyzing of data in order to produce quality information and timely reports to inform all internal and external project stakeholders
∎ Monitor media and other information sources for data collection
∎ Prepare consolidated monthly reports which are measuring progress against particular outputs, to inform about project development for future planning
∎ Implement quality assurance policies, procedures and standards
∎ Communication:
∎ Ensure a good communication flow between the main programme team members
∎ Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
∎ Provide desktop services to support the Head of Performance Unit while he/she is in the field - liaising with the PNGOs facilitating training or monitoring
∎ Undertake regular field visits with the teams of other components to support implementation of M&E and propose changes deemed necessary
∎ Knowledge Management and Information sharing:
∎ Compile information about data management and ensure knowledge transfer
∎ Develop graphs, reports and presentations of the achieved results
∎ Support research and study activities on policy topics that will benefit collaborative programs
∎ Produce, circulate, and disseminate relevant information to assist different project processes in accordance with project activities
∎ Other duties/additional tasks :
∎ The position holder
∎ Contributes to other project activities and any other tasks as required.
∎ Undertakes further job-related training to the position and duties, if required. Specific training needs shall be identified, and appropriate programs selected together with the line management.
∎ Required qualifications, competences and experience

∎ Professionalism - a solid background in project work and ability to work autonomously, take initiatives and be pro-active. Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving results.

∎ Communication - strong analytical and communication (spoken, written, presentational) skills, including ability to summarise and clearly present complex issues, conducive to the implementation of the programme. Demonstrated skills in communicating with people from different backgrounds.
∎ Team work - strong ability to work in a team and be supportive to others' efforts and work.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Professional experience:
∎ Minimum 5 years in relevant occupational experience in managing M&E
∎ Proven understanding and experience of gender and diversity
∎ Familiarity with donor programmes/the development sector in Bangladesh
∎ Other knowledge, additional competences:
∎ Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Access, SPSS and other statistical software
∎ Fluency in English is essential.
∎ Strong report writing skills to clearly articulate the issues of interest
∎ Knowledge of German Language is an asset
∎ Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain a fruitful dialogue with Government and Civil Society actors, conducive to the implementation of the programme
∎ Ability to work in an intercultural environment
∎ Ability to work well under pressure and must be a strong team player
∎ Strong organizational skills
∎ Self-starter/pro-active
