Job Context:
∎ For the team of our Rule of Law we seek applications for the position "Performance (M&E) Assistant".
∎ Job Location: Dhaka (field visit expected)
∎ Contract Duration till: June 30, 2021
∎ Possible Contract Starting Date: March 2020
∎ Band: 2T

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent is responsible for:
∎ Assisting maintenance of information management system including data collection, database management, data analysis for the relevant stakeholders
∎ Assisting management and maintenance of policies and procedures for the recording, indexing, filing, and retrieving of active documents and the storage of inactive documents
∎ Assisting development of work plans for the record management functions and reviews, evaluations, and makes recommendations on activities, methods, procedures, and policies
∎ Assisting development, maintenance, retrieval, protection, retention, and destruction of all records in accordance with project activities
∎ Developing graphs, reports and presentations of the achieved results
∎ Ensuring the effective gathering, recording and analyzing of data, in order to produce quality information and timely reports to inform the project stakeholders and the criminal justice system and
∎ Ensuring a good communication flow between the main programme actors
∎ In this context, the position holder fulfils the following tasks:
∎ Tasks:
∎ Quality Management and reporting:
∎ Based on an Information Management System developed by the programme, the Performance (M&E) Assistant will:
∎ Support to set baselines in the selected districts in collaboration with the Paralegals, Performance (M&E) Managers
∎ Assist in capacity building and provide guidance to paralegals and field level staff in the areas of information management including preparing progress reports
∎ Collate, organize, analyze and manage the data gathered from the fields
∎ Analyse the reports in terms of problems and actions needed
∎ Monitor media and other information sources for data collection
∎ Support to prepare consolidated monthly reports measuring progress against expected results, to inform project planning and development
∎ Inform and facilitate information collation for reviews and evaluations
∎ Coordinate closely with the Performance (M&E) Managers and relevant senior managers
∎ Communication:
∎ Generally, support to ensure a good communication flow between the main programme actors, and Performance (M&E) Managers
∎ Provide desktop services to support the Performance (M&E) Managers
∎ Undertake regular visits with the paralegal teams to support implementation of IMS and propose changes deemed necessary
∎ Assist to prepare and conduct trainings, workshops, seminars, and other events on subjects that are related to the program's field of activities
∎ Develop and organize quality assurance and propose necessary changes, improvements, and initiatives
∎ Knowledge Management and Information sharing:
∎ Compile information through data management and ensure knowledge transfer
∎ Prepare reports and presentation materials if and when required
∎ Support research and study activities on policy topics that will benefit collaborative programs
∎ Produce, circulate, and disseminates relevant information to assist criminal justice systems and inform policy development at district and national levels, in the form of written notes and reports based on the information and data gathered by the programme
∎ Develop regular reporting formats for Case Coordination Committees or other forums
∎ Contribute to the reports submitted to the Project Steering Committee, Advisory Committee and donors
∎ The Performance (M&E) Assistant will primarily be working with a manual/spreadsheet system, although baseline data will also be available from the IT database (RoL Impact Hub).

Additional Requirements:
∎ Professional experience:
∎ Few months of working exposure in management of project information and data, including experience in participatory monitoring tools
∎ Familiarity with donor programs will be an advantage
∎ Other knowledge, requirements and additional competences:
∎ Professionalism - a solid background in project work and ability to work autonomously, take initiatives and be pro-active. Conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments, observing deadlines and achieving results.
∎ Communication - strong analytical and communication (spoken, written, presentational) skills, including ability to summarise and clearly present complex issues, conducive to the implementation of the programme. Demonstrated skills in communicating with people from different backgrounds.
∎ Team work - strong ability to work in a team and be supportive to others' efforts and work.
∎ Sound knowledge on Microsoft Office specially MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
∎ Appropriate interpersonal skill
∎ Good organizational and analytical skills
∎ Self-starter
