Job Responsibilities:
∎ Draw and cut out sets of patterns for specified ranges of garment sizes, grading (increasing or decreasing dimensions) master pattern for each size within set, using either of following methods in way that minimizes wastage.
∎ Examine sketches or samples and design specifications to ascertain number, shape, and size of pattern parts and quantity of fabric required to make finished garment, using knowledge of manufacturing processes and characteristics of fabrics.
∎ Draw and cut out sets of master patterns for garments following sketches, samples and design specifications.
∎ Discusses design specifications with designer, when necessary.
∎ Draw outlines of parts on paper, using drafting instruments, such as calipers, squares, straight and curved rules, and pencils.
∎ Draw details on outlined parts to indicate position of pleats, pockets, buttonholes, and other items. Mark outlined garment parts with lines and notches that serve as guides in joining parts of garment. Cut out master patterns and mark size, sections and style information on patterns. May draw and cut out sets of patterns of different sizes, following master patterns.
∎ Internally review all fit stages, ensuring all measurements are within customer tolerances, ensure all disciplines sign and approve fit sample garments.
∎ Work with the sample machinist at various stages throughout the process, such as cutting out the sample garment and determining the amount of fabric used once the sample pattern is approved for production, reproduce the sample pattern on a pattern board to make a master pattern.
∎ Responsible for sending and receipt of Contract Seal packages in line with Critical
∎ Path dates.
∎ Responsible for the OK to Cut procedure from Contract Seal through to production.
∎ Oversee pilot and production patterns and size chart process.
∎ Handle other responsibilities and projects, as assigned
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Computer literacy;
∎ Good team player;
∎ Must have working experience with software GTR/Lectra;
∎ Must be fluent in English (Reading, writing, and speaking).
