Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a creative Pastry Sous Chef who has proven skills in making ice cream with various flavors and has relevant working experience in international Hotel/Park or Ice Cream Industries.
∎ The Ice cream chef combines artistic flair with culinary skills to make ice cream, including starting up machinery, choosing ingredients, and ensuring that the production processes go smoothly. The chef crafts a menu, develops new flavors, oversees production, and ensures quality control, promising delightful confections to meet customer preferences, and maintain impeccable standards.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure that the highest quality of ice cream is produced by following established recipes and perform all required production procedures.
∎ Develop a daily production list and efficient production schedule.
∎ Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of production equipment, ingredients’ storage containers and work area.
∎ Ensure that finished products are placed in clean/sanitized containers and properly labeled.
∎ Assist in maintaining an adequate inventory of ingredients and wholesale/retail ice creams
∎ Develop new ice cream flavors and recipes
∎ Order and stock ingredients and supplies
∎ Manage inventory and track usage for cost control
∎ Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering product samples
∎ Train and supervise team members.
∎ Study work orders to understand the quantity and type of ice cream to be manufactured each day.
∎ Ensure that the process of ice cream manufacturing is run smoothly by constantly monitoring the machinery.
∎ Remove ice cream from the machine by following strict removal procedures and ensure that it is placed in appropriate containers.
∎ Ascertain that the taste and texture of each batch are in accordance with the standards set.
∎ Tint and decorate molded ice cream with icing and toppings.
∎ Maintain hygiene as per standard.
∎ Perform any other job assigned by the management as and when required.
