Requirements:

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead, mentor, and motivate the maintenance team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
∎ Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, expectations, and safety protocols.
∎ Provide ongoing training to ensure that team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
∎ Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities maintenance plan, including routine inspections and preventive maintenance schedules.
∎ Coordinate with department heads to schedule downtime for necessary maintenance activities without disrupting park operations.
∎ Oversee the repair and maintenance of building structures, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical systems.
∎ Establish and maintain a centralized inventory system for all park equipment and ensure regular equipment inspections and maintenance.
∎ Collaborate with ride manufacturers and external vendors to ensure proper maintenance and certification of water attractions and rides.
∎ Implement and oversee a robust predictive maintenance program for critical equipment.
∎ Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
∎ Regularly review expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising safety or operational efficiency.
∎ Provide input on capital expenditures and long-term maintenance planning.
∎ Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inspection reports.
∎ Generate regular reports for park management, summarizing maintenance performance, identifying trends, and proposing improvements.
∎ Document incidents, accidents, and near misses, and provide recommendations for preventative measures.
∎ Identify skill gaps within the maintenance team and implement training programs to address them.
∎ Stay current on industry best practices and advancements, providing continuous learning opportunities for the team.
∎ Collaborate with Human Resources to conduct performance reviews and create professional development plans for team members.
∎ Develop and implement emergency response plans for maintenance-related incidents.
∎ Coordinate with the Safety and Security departments to ensure timely and effective responses to emergencies.
∎ Conduct regular drills to test the readiness of the maintenance team in emergency scenarios.
∎ Stay informed about relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards in the amusement park industry.
∎ Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
∎ Collaborate with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
∎ Cultivate and maintain relationships with external vendors and contractors.
∎ Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value for maintenance services and supplies.
∎ Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks.
∎ Implement a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback and innovation within the maintenance team.
