Educational Requirements:
∎ HSC pass or above from recognized institution with two years’ experience as O.T. Assistant from a recognized hospital/clinics.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist OT in-charge and surgeon
∎ Perform Procedure
∎ Monitor and ensure functionality of OT equipment and ensure sterilization
∎ Support Eye and Dental unit
∎ Carry out Behavioral Change Communication.
∎ Stock management
∎ Maintain checklist.
∎ Prepare surgical patient list.
∎ To help OT in charge to prepare Operation Theatre for the surgery.
∎ To assist any surgery as an assistant surgeon.
∎ To do regular dressing of any emergency cut injury & post -operative patient.
∎ To check & run electronic equipment to continue service.
∎ To autoclave surgical instrument for Sterilization-Daily.
∎ Ensure support to eye department, and dental unit as per need based on roster.
∎ Help to prepare OT requisition for secondary medical camps.
∎ To counsel patient and patient attendance regarding surgical procedure.
∎ Help to maintain the cleanliness of the tent both inside and outside during secondary health camps.
∎ Help in post -operative management.
∎ Support in providing health camp medicines requisition during secondary camps.
∎ Ensure daily quality checklist with assets status (functional or not) – Daily.
∎ Prepare monthly report of OT activities and stock balance of OT medicine, expiry date of medicine and near expiry medicine list.
∎ To Inform and disseminate program activities to the community leaders, allied persons and FCMs through outreach and BCC team.
∎ To attend Training on Infection Prevention Practice under supervision of Program Manager.
∎ To attend Capacity build-up sessions/training arranged by Program Manager.
∎ To attend Monthly coordination meeting organized by program Manager regarding conflict management, other domestic problems and decision making.
∎ Coordinate with local chairmen, village doctor, teacher etc.
∎ Any work assigned as per advice of higher authority.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 20 to 25 years
∎ Excellent communication skill and desire to learn.
∎ High commitment & motivation to work in remote places specially in riverine areas
∎ Strong interpersonal skills.
