Responsibilities & Context:
- Assist in container handling operations, including loading, unloading, and yard management.
- Support container freight station (CFS) activities such as cargo receiving, stuffing/un-stuffing, and delivery.
- Help monitor container storage, repair, survey, and maintenance activities in the Container Service Department (CSD).
- Maintain accurate operational records and input data into Terminal Management Software (TMS).
- Prepare and verify shipping, customs, and delivery documentation.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, transporters, C&F agents, and customs officials.
- Monitor truck and trailer operations for container movement within yard and port.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security (ISPS, C-TPAT), and environmental standards.
- Learn and assist with import/export container operations including delivery scheduling and yard planning.
- Report operational delays, damages, or discrepancies to management promptly.
- Receive on-the-job training by shadowing Operation Manager and learning standard operating procedures.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the operations team when required.
